Taken on its own merits this is a good game. I like deduction-detective mystery games and this is a good one. The cases are varied and require you to both explore and think through things. Overall they were very good. As for the narrative, that was less interesting. It’s perfectly serviceable as a vehicle for the deduction stuff, but not enough to stand on its own merits. As a sequel to Lacuna however the game does less well. Lacuna had a great narrative, which this one lacks. And while the cases in this case were grander requiring legwork across different areas of the map whereas Lacuna’s were mostly based in a single room – I thought the cases in Lacuna were better.
