Contractors Free Download Unfitgirl Community content creators will be able to create custom loadout and gamemodes with our newest modkit! Contractors is a team-based competitive multiplayer shooter game for virtual reality headsets. Experience the next level virtual warfare with hardcore controls, lethal weapons, customizable load-outs, and intense firefights. Multiplayer shooter fans have no shortage of choices in VR. Quite simply, it’s a type of game that translates perfectly to the medium. But few shooters are as full-featured and well-supported by the community as Contractors, which has fully embraced mod culture on the native Quest 2 version of the game. Not only that, but Contractors is a seriously visually impressive game, sporting large, complex environments, full-body IK physics simulation, realistic gun models, and more authentic aiming and shooting than most other VR shooters. All of these add up to the reasons why we’ve named it our first Oculus Quest 2(opens in new tab) game of the week. Lots of games on the Quest, in particular, go for simplistic art styles and tend to keep environments and rooms relatively small. While there are a number of notable exceptions to that — Population: One(opens in new tab) Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

For example — Contractors doesn’t attempt to dumb down much of anything at all. That all starts with the visuals, which you’ll notice are a step up from the average Quest game the moment you first power it on. A player’s entire body is fully rendered, and even the skin has what appears to be noticeable pores on the forearms. The environments, too, seem to be more detailed than what most Quest games deliver, and the game even appears sharper than other games thanks to a high-resolution output. You can customize many aspects of the UI and even turn off the full-body IK models, leaving only your hands and any items or weapons attached to your belt. There are several modifications for viewing to help players find a good comfort level, and even clever communication options like the push-to-talk mic, which is an optional setting that requires players to press and hold the walkie-talkie mounted on the collarbone to talk. You can even jump, which is something so many VR games simply don’t offer. It sounds silly to single this out as a defining feature, but it’s an amazing piece of the puzzle that helps the game feel more complete.

Realistic weapon handling

The biggest downsides here are the lack of locomotion options — there’s only smooth joystick movement, but you can opt for snapping or smooth turning — and the fact that character customization is mostly nonexistent.Aside from the inordinate amount of thought that went into building basic gameplay elements, Contractors’ developers Caveman Game Studio also added plenty of great little unique characteristics into the game. Things like playing basketball while you’re waiting to respawn in the zombie survival mode and having an open practice area where anyone can readily walk in and chat are brilliant, organic elements of game design. They also ensured that the game was built in a modular fashion in order to spur community input. Sure, Caveman Game Studio has updated the game and added tons of weapons, maps, and even new modes in the few years Contractors has been in development, but they also let the community do what it does best: mod the heck out of things. Taking a quick look at the mod.io page(opens in new tab) for Contractors shows you just how many player-created maps there are. As of this writing, there are 193 maps that can be played on the Quest version of the game, and a further 16 that are only available through the PC version. But here’s the real kicker: you don’t need to go on this website and follow some sort of convoluted series of steps just to play custom maps. It’s all built right into the game and is readily accessible from the main menu. Tap that mods button, scroll through the nearly 200 maps available (and growing), and hit download. That’s it. But these aren’t just some junky side project maps that someone cooked up over a weekend. Many maps are impressively accurate recreations — and sometimes even straight model imports — from many of the best multiplayer shooters(opens in new tab) in history. Maps from Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare and the Black Ops series are here alongside fantasy maps from games like Star Wars Battlefront.

Slick sliding movement

There are also plenty of silly maps, like Bikini Bottom from Spongebob Squarepants or some of those fun “mouse” levels where you’re a tiny player in a common room in a house. It’s this aspect that was immediately impressive to me and remains impressive even after hours of playing. Most games just don’t offer this kind of community-driven functionality outside of Steam Workshop on a PC and, even then, that’s an extra series of steps you’d have to take over what Contractors offers in the native menu. Likewise, Caveman Game Studio has added several new game modes over the past three or so years since the game debuted on the PC. While modern combat has been the bread and butter of the game for some time, recent updates have added a World War II mode complete with realistic weaponry and special WW2-themed maps. If that wasn’t enough, there’s even a ninja loadout to play that’ll have everyone wearing a “traditional” ninja costume complete with a katana, kunai, and a bow to quickly launch arrows at opponents. Furthermore, the latest update just introduced a zombie survival mode(opens in new tab) that sees up to four other players surviving waves of zombie hordes and cashing in for better weapons and perks along the way. Somewhat surprisingly, 2020 was a really good year for shooters on Oculus Quest. From similarly competitive types such as Onward and Solaris, to battle royale rampages like Population: One, even down to more narrative single-player shooters such as Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge and Warhammer 40K: Battle Sister, there is good stuff out there this year. Even Pistol Whips’ 2089 chapter is basically an on-rails campaign that’s pretty fantastic. Compared to all those others, there’s a lot that Contractors really excels at. First and foremost, I was completely blown away by how smooth Contractors feels and looks while playing on a Quest 2. Textures themselves are extremely flat, much of the environment looks pretty ugly, and the overall quality of the visuals is pretty poor compared to some of the prettier VR games — but those sacrifices have ensured a smooth and fluid playing experience, which is arguably much more important in a VR game for most people. One of the major issues that plagued Onward back at launch was the texture pop-in. You’d approach a building from a distance and, just like any game, the lower detail texture would suddenly swap out for something with higher detail.

Immersive full body IK system

Virtually every game does this, but usually the swap happens at such a great distance you don’t really perceive it. In Onward, you’d notice it at just a few feet away which altered the way you’d play and experience the maps. Thankfully, I didn’t notice much, if any, texture pop-in with Contractors on Quest 2. The reason for that is likely due to the fact that the environments, just across the board, are quite ugly looking as mentioned. It honestly looks like buildings are made out of playdough or cardboard sometimes. That sounds like a big negative thing, and it is, but the truth is it’s a better trade off than having pretty visuals with a stuttering framerate in VR. Gameplay though is where Contractors really shines. Each gun feels wonderful and there is a huge arsenal to pick from with relatively accurate active reloading. That means to reload your magazine you need to eject it from the rifle, grab a new one from your belt pouch, insert it into the gun, and rack the chamber. Granted, this differs a bit from gun to gun, so you just need to make sure you know how to operate your chosen weapon. There are detailed loadout options as well. Or competitive PvP match you choose which primary weapon, attachments, sidearm, and equipment to bring along, as well as which type of vest to wear that each affect your speed and health. There’s enough depth to give you options worth exploring, although a bit more structure would be nice. You just have everything kind of thrown at you from the very start, but a more gradual unlocking system or at least skins that you could unlock as you play more and level up would have helped instill a sense of gradual progression. Population: One does this very well. Luckily the volume of loadout options does help make up for the flatness in growth. They’ve even got WWII-era weapons in here. In terms of game speed and feel, it’s much faster-paced than Onward. If Solaris is like sci-fi Quake and Onward is a bit like ARMA, I’d say Contractors is most similar to Call of Duty in terms of pacing which will likely make it the most accessible and easy to jump into quickly. And something that Contractors does that neither Onward, Population: One, nor Solaris do at all, is employ a playable lobby format. For my tastes, I vastly prefer this to just static menu navigation in VR.

This means in Contractors when you load into the game you’re put into a warehouse map that has target challenge courses, basketball hoops, various floors, and a large explorable building for its main hub region. From there you can invite friends and queue up for any one of the various game modes and match types. It’s so much more welcoming to be greeted by an interactive part of the world rather than just a bunch of menu screens. Contractors really excels at offering a wide assortment of things to do whether you want to play online or against AI bots. For example, there are multiple co-op or solo game modes such as objective capture-based missions, eliminating high-value targets, and more in addition to the expected multiplayer PvP modes. All it’s really missing at this point is a structured campaign story mode but that’s likely not planned unless in a future sequel. Although this review is specifically of the Quest version of Contractors, the PC version has the same content. The only differences are smaller lobbies (10v16 players), no mod support, and downgrades in visuals, performance, and flexibility in terms of headset choice, controller choice, and so on.
