WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition Free Download Unfitgirl Back in 2018, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force released Warriors Orochi 4 on consoles and PC, and it was good. Warriors Orochi 3, however, never got a PC version – until now. 10 years after the first console versions, Steam now has Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition. This new edition bundles the hack-and-slash epic with nearly all of its DLC to make a truly grand and definitive adventure – complete with split-screen co-op. Warriors Orochi 3 is a crossover game featuring characters from both the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. Sometime during China’s Three Kingdoms period and Japan’s feudal era, a gigantic, seven-headed hydra called Orochi starts attacking human settlements spread across both nations. Humanity has no chance of stopping Orochi and its army of demons on its own, so Princess Kaguya, a figure from Japanese folklore, offers her assistance. Kaguya sends the surviving heroes back in time to rescue their previously fallen comrades and amass a force sizeable enough to stand up to the Orochi. To learn about the general game systems and mechanics, see our original Warriors Orochi 3 co-op review. We assume that levels must first be cleared in single-player before they become playable in co-op – hopefully we can test it out soon and report back.Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition costs $39.99 on Steam. The non-Definitive Editions of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate are available for $59.99 (!) on Xbox and PlayStation as well. Maybe it’s time for a price drop, Koei Tecmo. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Turbo MegaMix Xtreme Game of the Year Definitive Edition — or Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition, if you don’t like dumb jokes — is real. Regular readers may remember that we covered a rating for this game back in May, and we couldn’t quite understand why Koei Tecmo would be re-releasing another version of Warriors Orochi 3 — a title that first launched in 2013 for the PS3, and was later ported to PS4 as Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate.
Enjoy party battles with game modes such as “Gauntlet Mode”
“Gauntlet Mode” has been included, allowing players to form parties of 5 people and take part in thrilling battles. Other game modes include the 3-on-3 “Duel Mode”, which fuses versus battles with card battles, as well as “Musou Battlefields” that provide players with more freedom. As it turns out, the so-called Definitive Edition is actually for PC, or more specifically, Steam — and it’s out now. It’s essentially just a PC port of Ultimate with all of the DLC included. Mystery solved! Koei Tecmo doesn’t say anything about other platforms in its press release, so we wouldn’t count on this also coming to consoles. Still, we thought it’d be best to tie this story up now that we have answers. Out of nowhere, Koei Tecmo dropped a new port of its 2012 crossover brawler, Warriors Orochi 3. This is the third new subtitle for the game, which is now Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition. That’s a mouthful, but it seems pretty accurate! New features have been introduced for this new PC port, including mouse and keyboard controls for the first time. Diablo 3: Eternal Collection
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition on Steam has launched with a standard price of $39.99, lower than Warriors Orochi 4 since that one’s still $59.99. What makes this Steam port notable right off the bat is its inclusion of the vast majority of the previous versions’ DLC. Koei Tecmo loves to add tons of DLC for its Musou series, including various alternative costumes and new weapons. Press materials note there are over 500 individual DLC items in total. That’s thanks in part to not just a smooth, 60fps performance threshold, but mouse and keyboard support. Musou games usually don’t get that, so having it here on top of the usual adjustment options you expect for Steam releases is a welcome surprise for players. As of that point Warriors Orochi 3 hit a whopping 145 character roster, including guests from series such as Dead or Alive, Atelier and even Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur. Despite losing a small amount of DLC, those guest characters are all intact. Warriors Orochi 3 is a sequel to a multi-game story, which concluded here as Orochi 4 started with a new story. I used to play this game a lot (and Dynasty Warriors 2-8, Orochi entries) back when it was on Xbox 360. If you don’t know what Warriors Orochi 3 brings, it’s “tweaked/decloned” movesets from Dynasty Warriors 7 XL and Samurai Warriors Pre-4, so there’s a lot to enjoy and appreciate when at least playing as the Dynasty Warriors and Guest cast since their “tweaks” will usually include unique EX (your R1/RB attack) moves and unique strong attacks (Triangle/Y) that, sometimes, will callback to games as early as DW3.
It’s a ton of fun mega-boosting your favorite team from the Warriors franchises to endgame strength. Samurai Warriors have had mostly the same movesets since Warriors Orochi 1/the Samurai games they originated from. I personally have a fondness for this specific Warriors game since I think the movesets and all the levels/costumes/endgame are fun and unique enough for its large cast. Does it work properly? One complaint I had was a very distracting graphical glitch that you can fix by adjusting your refresh rate to 60 hz – there are plenty of threads repeating this solution in the Discussion section, but when there are *many* PC ports of existing games like Monster Hunter Rise, DMC5, etc. that don’t suffer from animation glitches due to refresh rate, then yes I think it should be worth mentioning that half of your screen will turn to black on each Musou attack (basically your super move) from your starting character – an attack that you do a lot! This was literally 1 hour into the game and there’s like 145 characters in this game – you don’t have them all unlocked from the start, so you can’t test Musou attacks on other characters that function like Ma Chao’s. Sorry! The same complaint persists with Wang Yuanji’s attacks. The “omg this rock isn’t properly animated” is multiple rock effects from a ground slam that covers a 4th of your screen that moves like molasses you see every on every 4th Strong Attack you do, so if you’re literally playing the game normally fighting enemies, that can get distracting. There will be arrays of light arrows from her 3rd Strong attack that animate in slow motion. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Digital Deluxe
By the time you regain control and move around, these light arrows are still animating and will follow her like a spotlight. These animations are supposed to be ~ 0.2 second, snappy and flashy animations, but they last about four times as long and literally move around with the character. This is not an issue in any of the original releases or ports onto PS4 or Switch, so yeah, it’s worth pointing out. It’s a distracting difference. It’s still fun to play, but I don’t know how many other characters’ animations/effects don’t work like they normally did. It’s not just me “giving a hot take.” Look in the discussion forum: there’s people reporting other issues too like characters turning metallic-black during in-game cutscenes, dialogue going out of sync, and pre-rendered cutscenes crashing their game. I’m aware that there’s a bug report discord from Koei Tecmo, so I hope that whatever laundry list of bugs get reported there will get fixed in an upcoming patch. So no, I’m not going to stop giving a bad review.
