NASCAR Heat 5 Free Download Gold Edition Unfitgirl The COVID times of 2020 as it relates to sports are very interesting indeed. With all the social distancing in place which restricts fans from watching their favorite sports in person, it’s a unique time for sports video games. Many sports are trying to carry on in the real world with truncated or abbreviated seasons, so the only way fans can experience a full regular 2020 season is to create them virtually via video games. NASCAR Heat 5 allows fans to simulate the 2020 NASCAR season. Developer 704games realized this opportunity and took advantage of it by releasing this game less than a year after NASCAR Heat 4. Sports games sit in a unique position for developers. They are able to release a new version every year with updated rosters and players at minimal effort once the game engine is developed. The challenge for sports game developers is to provide sufficient tweaks and updates over the previous version of the game to entice players to purchase the most up-to-date version of the game. Does NASCAR Heat 5 grab the checkered flag as far as getting a worthy update? Let’s suit up, buckle in, and see. Like GT3 racing, NASCAR attracts a specific group of racing fans and thus appeals to a subset of an already niche market. It’s for this reason the game developer needs to do everything possible to entice fans by procuring the licensing for official tracks and teams. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

NASCAR Heat 5 has accomplished that. All the official 2020 NASCAR teams, cars, drivers, tracks, and schedules make up the bulk of the game. Also included are the latest liveries for each car. In NASCAR, the teams change liveries over the course of a racing season. It is expected the Season Pass will include updated liveries. NASCAR racing has its roots in the south, and the game’s presentation echoes that. From the title graphics and music, this is a no-pretensions, rock ‘n roll vibe. Fortunately for those of us that are not fans of generic rock music in the menus or the pre and post-race interludes, the music can be turned off. It’s the first thing I did, but the problem with doing that is the game loses any character it may have otherwise. This is because the rest of the game does little to generate any excitement. Racing should raise your adrenaline levels, get your heart pumping, and elevate your senses. Heat 5 leaves you feeling like you took the family out for a Sunday drive. From the main menu, you can select Career, jump into a quick race, pick split-screen or online multiplayer, or look at your profile and your cars. Oddly enough, ‘Options’ – where you select control schemes, audio levels, etc. – is a sub-option down at the bottom of the screen. From the career mode, you can choose one of the four championship series: the main NASCAR Series, the feeder NASCAR Xfinity Series

Pedal To The Metal

The Gander RV & Outdoors (say what?) Truck Series and finally the Xtreme Dirt Series. For the purists, these are all officially sanctioned events that give you a tidy 34 locations and 120+ liveries to play with. Most of the locations are ovals. So be it on asphalt or dirt, after hours of making left turns, your attention starts to drift off. Did I mention those Sunday afternoon family drive vibes? Because utilizing a Force Feedback wheel doesn’t exactly enhance the excitement. Playing with a wheel offers up little more immersion than using a controller. There is no feedback when you are going down the straight sections, which is part of the dullness of the races. To be fair, in the Dirt Series, you do get more feedback, but it’s all the same level with no fine details being communicated. In all the series’, all the feedback comes from the cornering, but even there, it’s a mixed bag. Halfway through the curve, you can’t change the line of the car no matter which way you steer. About the only thing you can replicate is diving into a corner too quickly, which will fling you across the track and into the wall. This is a racing game where using a Force Feedback wheel has no inherent advantage over a simple controller. Graphically the game looks OK, and the framerate is constant with no input lag. A high point is the effects on cars from the stadium lighting. The Amazing Spider-Man

Engines growl appropriately, and tires squeal effectively. One thing that gets old quickly when dirt racing is the sound of gravel bouncing around underneath and around your car. Another area where the audio is lacking is under the options where tire sounds, crowd noise, and other unrelated sound effects are lumped together. Truly odd. Tire sound is vital in sim racing as it tells you when you are on the limit. It’s the sim racer’s substitute for G-forces and should have its own volume control setting. I’ve not played the previous games in this series, but from what I can see, Heat 5 doesn’t offer much more than Heat 4. NASCAR Racing is not for everyone, and compared to other sim racers out there, this is easily the tamest of them all. The game does nothing badly, but neither does it excel at anything. It’s truly a middle of the road racing sim. Hardcore fans are the only ones that will want to suit up for this iteration. Last year, I reviewed NASCAR Heat 4 and was pleasantly surprised. It provided an all-around solid racing experience, even for non-fans like me, so, I was happy to get a chance to take another lap around the track with NASCAR Heat 5. This year’s installment may not be that much different, but it still provides a worthy experience. Gameplay remains the same. Races begin with practice laps before moving to qualifying laps, and finally to an actual race.

A Leisurely Sunday Drive

Once again, races can be modified to accommodate short sessions or realistic races with full lap counts. If desired, players can also skip the practice and qualifying rounds and jump right to racing. The same racing series are back this year – the fictional Xtreme Dirt and the real-life Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and the best known NASCAR Cup Series. Seasons and careers can be started at any level, so players can experience all four Cups or jump right to the big time and race through a NASCAR Cup Series career. There are 34 highly detailed real-life racetracks, plus 5 fictional dirt tracks to race around. Each track is accessible from the beginning, so players with a favorite course won’t need to worry about unlocking it. Controls are still precise and even without a racing wheel, I always felt in control speeding around the curves I have always had a soft spot for the NASCAR Heat series. When it returned with Heat Evolution, it was rough around the edges but there were hints of something good there. The following games dropped the “Evolution” part of the name and although there were no drastic changes, they continued to be decent racers and a fun representation of NASCAR motorsport. Last year’s NASCAR Heat 4 took the series forward, finally making changes to the game engine, visuals and handling, all of which made for a more satisfying and playable racer. Here we are, less than a year later, and NASCAR Heat 5 is here. It brings with it the same impressive Career mode and a new Testing mode, which allows you to tweak your setup ahead of time, for each track. If you played the last game, you’ll know exactly what to expect, there are no huge changes. Actually, that’s not entirely true. Developer 704Games has tweaked the handling, even going so far as to make it incredibly customisable with several different driving aids, but there’s definitely a major catch: the more assisted the handling, the slower you drive. That’s nothing new, but it is incredibly pronounced here. In an age where accessibility is such a big talking point in the industry, punishing players so harshly for using assists isn’t acceptable. However you set up your vehicle, it’s disappointing to report that the handling feels more than a little unresponsive, at times. I played with deadzone settings and sensitivity settings, but nothing got rid of the issues. It was really quite frustrating, especially after the series took such a big step forward last year, to discover that the series has taken a step backwards in Heat 5. What makes it even more disappointing, is that races are actually great fun. I can only imagine how much better it would feel if I was completely in control of my vehicle. Regardless of where you start on the grid, the use of drafting is key to improving your position throughout each event.

Introducing Test Session Mode

Going into the bends is always fraught with tension, with nearly forty cars leaning into the banked corners at once, all jockeying for position. This tension is what would normally make the Career mode such an interesting prospect, as you work your way up the ranks. If you choose to start at the very bottom, sliding around on the speedway-like dirt tracks, the game eases you into things. If you start at the top level, especially with your own team, NASCAR Heat 5 is an incredibly punishing experience. I found my starting car to be about as competitive as a bicycle, falling behind really easily and struggling to finish anywhere beyond the bottom couple of places. I’m all for having to fight tooth and nail for every single position, but the early moments of NASCAR Heat 5’s Career mode is way too harsh, way too slow going. Irony is neat, huh? With patience, NASCAR Heat 5 can be a fun experience. It looks decent too, but will never trouble the likes of Gran Turismo, Forza or the F1 games, which makes it all the stranger that it struggles to run at a consistent framerate. Even on a PS4 Pro, using performance mode doesn’t result in a smooth framerate, it jumps around wildly in the 30-60fps area, never settling. It’s very puzzling. However you play NASCAR Heat 5, you will find its races to be tense and rewarding. You will just have to be patient when it comes to its expansive Career mode and even finding The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

The right handling setup for your tastes, choosing from the game’s huge array of customisation options. It’s just a shame that it still has performance issues and, even more disappointing, that the steering feels somewhat unresponsive at times. For every step it takes forward, NASCAR Heat 5 takes two steps back. Upon starting up the game the main menu has a few options; the two main ones are Career mode, which is where I’ve spent most of my time with the game, or Race Now, where you can set up a single race in any of the four car series, choose any track, adjust the number of laps, damage, and a variety of other options. Race Modes include Test Session, Championship, Challenges, and Split Screen. Online Multiplayer let’s you compete with other drivers around the world. My Driver allows you to customize your driver’s appearance and similarly My Cars allows you to change the appearance of your car in each of the four series. In the new Test Session mode you can take your time to practice and adjust your set-up. Take as much time as you need here to get your lap times down as much as you can. Championship allows you to race through a single season of any series you choose or all four at the same time if you wish. Challenges has you complete a number of specific scenarios with even more available as DLC. Split Screen is surprisingly stable visually but unfortunately you won’t be able to take your couch co-op partner into online multiplayer.

Select Online Multiplayer to join active lobbies, enter Esports events in the pro league, check the online leaderboards, and participate in online challenges. The few online races I played were not very populated yet but you can race against 39 other drivers and race a full length race of 200 plus laps depending which race you select. You can enable AI cars to fill in the field of you don’t have a full lobby. If you choose to enable in game voice chat note that it drops the maximum number of players from 40 to 8 to eliminate so many people from talking over each other. In Career mode you can choose to join a team or create your own. Joining a team allows you to simply concentrate on the racing as all other things are handled in the background. Creating your own team puts you in full control of everything from hiring your crew, what your mechanics specialize in, how much money you choose to spend on cars, and educating your crew members so they can be more productive when performing repairs. It’s here when creating your team where you can really see how much deeper the career is than in previous versions. Being able to establish friendships and rivalries with other drivers seems to be a little more balanced than in previous versions too. Drive well and other drivers will work with you. Drive overly aggressive or get a little to pushy on track and the AI may decide to try and take you out if you get too close.
