I did end up having a few gripes after hours of playing it. The door, drawers, and cabinets constantly shutting right after you open them, got annoying after a while. And it was a bit longer than I usually like. But that because I have the daunting task of editing all of these hours into a manageable video. Oh, and there is a lack of settings in the game. There is enough, but I would definitely prefer more, especially since the optimization isn’t the best. I was able to run well above 60fps the whole game, but I did have to drop AA down to high while outside. I did have one crash toward the end of the game as I was leaving it paused for a long time. I don’t want to really blame the game since it’s not out of the norm for my overclocked Radeon card to crash, but it’s not typical either. Likewise, I don’t leave most games running for 5 hours, so hard to say really. The biggest thing the game lacks is a mic volume slider. If you’re going to use the mic gimmick in a game, yes I called it a gimmick because it is, but one I enjoy, you at least need to have a way to dial the mic sensitivity in. It’s not really acceptable to force people to back out of the game to make adjustments. I like this kind of horror game way more than I like games like Madison or Visage. Those games are scarier, yes, but they make me pull my hair out.
