In Sound Mind Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl You play as psychologist Desmond Wales who wakes up, trapped in a version of his own apartment building. He finds recordings of sessions with his previous patients and through playing them is transported into their psyches. Here he encounters their fears and learns to understand them better and begins to start unravelling a connection between them all and himself. In Sound Mind is played from a first person perspective and you’ll primarily be exploring. You start off with no items, but you’ll start to accumulate many over the course of the game which will let you get past areas which were inaccessible before. First off is a simple flashlight to help see in the dark but you will get weapons, a gas mask and a magical shard of glass that can be used to break and cut things as well as looked into to survey the world around you and discover hidden items. There is a surprising reliance on platforming which had me thinking of Half-Life at times, thankfully there’s nothing too challenging here and if you die checkpoints tend to be pretty frequent. There are minor enemies that appear throughout, shade-like beings that will run towards you or fire at you from a distance but combat isn’t that frequent over the course of the game. More interesting is the main enemy in each tape that represents the patient of that recording. The first tape for instance is about a girl who was disfigured in an accident and subsequently died in a supermarket. As such that level takes place in a supermarket and a ghost stalks the aisles, attacking you if you look at her.Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Others require you to stay in the light or lure the enemy to a certain spot. It’s in the variety of the locations that In Sound Mind‘s strength lies. Each recording goes to a different place and as you get a new tool there the focus of the puzzles changes as well. The puzzles are generally pretty good, nothing quite on the level of Tormented Souls but they are neither too simple or massively obtuse. The levels tend to be quite large so sometimes you’ll be wandering around not entirely sure where to go but they aren’t so large that you get fully lost. There’s also optional items to find in the form of pills that will improve certain stats like speed and health. They aren’t needed and it distracts from simply progressing the game but it adds a little longevity I suppose. Not that the game is short at around ten hours long but the game keeps track of the pills so if you miss any you can go back for 100% if you desire as you can re-enter recordings back at the apartment, as well as explore the apartments with the new tools you acquire from the levels. For a game on your, relatively, new PS5 it looks okay. You can tell it doesn’t have big money behind it but there are some nice effects here and there and as mentioned before, good variety and often imagination in the environments. The problem lies in the incredibly inconsistent frame rate. It’s more obvious in the open areas but the game can turn into a slide show at times and even with relatively little going on it can stutter a bit. I’m not massively sensitive to this stuff and, although it didn’t stop me playing, it was a major issue at times. There is also no special use of the DualSense, though load times are relatively quick if not super fast.

In Sound Mind A new survival horror experience from the creators of the legendary Nightmare House 2.

Audio-wise the acting is okay, although I have an issue with characters in weird situations saying stuff like “Nom” as they eat food to replenish their health. There’s some good music in here too both atmospheric and actual songs. It creates a good atmosphere that makes up for a lack of actual scares. You get the odd jump scare when you turn around and something appears behind you but that’s about it for that side of things. The story is decent however, starting with a little intrigue, continuing about the patients before developing further. The ending doesn’t quite land for me as there isn’t enough information revealed about Desmond throughout the game for me to care enough. There is a hint at a sequel post credits and I’ll be interested to see where it goes however. In Sound Mind covers the story of Desmond Wales, a psychiatrist trapped in an otherworldly version of the apartment complex housing his office. He is seeking answers in the cases of his previous patients, all of whom took a drastic turn for the worse. Transported to the scenes of their breakdowns, he re-explores what they went through, and along the way pieces together the common thread tying their tales together. What really struck me is the WAY the writing is presented. Horror stories, and especially psychological horror stories, tend to take themselves very seriously. They are cerebral matters of the mind delving deep into the harrowing depths of humanity, so of course everything must be high art couched in metaphor and seventeen different levels of allegory.Airborne Kingdom

“Not so,” says In Sound Mind, presenting with a story that’s not afraid to have fun with the idea. If we were to compare it to horror movies, this is less trying to win the Cannes Film Festival and more relishing in being a B-movie popcorn muncher. Your primary antagonist is a mysterious agent that enjoys calling you on random phones just to childishly tease you, and so many times you’re given a jump scare and it is played for laughs. One extremely notable one has you going down a narrow passage to a door. It’s locked, because of course it is. You turn around and there’s a creepy mannequin standing right behind you, and naturally you jump. Creepy mannequins moving behind you worked in Nightmare House 2 and it certainly works here too. But… what’s that in his hand? A key for the door you need. You take it, unlock the door, grab what you need, and on the way out, the mannequin is on a bench giving you a thumbs up. This is but one example of the MANY times you’re given a scare and the game just laughs and says “Gotcha!” Of course, in the end this is still a horror game, and the humor is more slasher film camp than full blown comedy. Just as often the threat is real, to keep you on your toes, and it does dive into the trauma these patients experienced. On that note, I will say I definitely appreciate having the mentally ill portrayed as human individuals undergoing trauma, rather than the dehumanized portrayal we so often see in media. It’s not perfect – the resolution to each patient’s arc feels a little simplistic sometimes – but I can’t exactly praise the game for not taking things too seriously and then criticize it for not taking things seriously now can I?

Experience a series of haunting memories.

It did well with the tone it was trying to set. As someone who lived through that period of gaming, the lineage of Half-Life inspiration that the developers began with can truly be felt. In Sound Mind is a first-person shooter, but with an emphasis on exploring the 3D environment and solving puzzles more than actually shooting. Oh, there are enemies, but they’re mostly there to have something unpleasant to greet you with in a trap, rather than as the main piece. Of the whopping seven “weapons” you can use, only one of them I felt was primarily for shooting monsters, and it’s an optional weapon at that. The rest could certainly be used to fight back but were mostly useful for how they interacted with the environment. I’m even including the pistol there, because boy howdy does this game put exploding barrels front and center. The game itself is divided up into the central hub of the apartment complex, and then the individual levels accessed by the patient’s taped sessions. Each level takes place in its own unique environment, but more importantly they also all manage to feel different in how they play. Your overall goal is the same: explore the level, find keys and notes, do puzzles, and work your way up to the final climax with the boss. But the way each level is structured and the manner in which the bosses fight gives each level a unique feel, in spite of using the same tool kit. Speaking of the bosses, they’re one of the biggest draws in my opinion. Now, the showdown at the end of each level is typically not super involved, but what makes the bosses exciting is how they show up WELLCrazy Taxi

before then. You’ll meet every one of them shortly into the level and then they’ll be a constant presence throughout. You can drive them off temporarily, but not for good until the level is over. Each of them acts in particular ways that serve as more storytelling into each patient’s trauma and breakdown and also make each encounter unique. To use two very extreme examples, one encourages an almost stealthy approach of keeping an eye out for it in reflections and avoiding loud noises that would alert it, while another is extremely persistent and requires attacking it until it leaves you alone for a few brief seconds so you can do a puzzle. The others are similarly unique, their actions serving to set the tone and sub-genre of the level. Still a first-person shooter in terms of controls, still a psychological horror in terms of tone, but each an exploration on what can be done with the theme. The game has many puzzles. Most of the puzzles are pretty straightforward, but require a bit of thought with your current items. Some of the puzzles have simple solutions that are hidden in the same room. The game has many action areas as well, such as intense boss fights that usually have a sort of puzzle sequence to them. Normal enemies come in the form of inkling-type creatures. The boss of each stage appears as you work your way through a stage and the boss sort of chases or interrupts your progress kind of like a scripted pursuer. The game has a few platforming segments, which brings up one of the major faults in the gameplay. When dashing, you’ll have to keep an eye on your stamina bar, which will recharge once you stop. The problem with this is that the recharge takes a while to activate. Later on in the game, the game throws some very intense platforming sections and areas that you’ll want to run through. When you have a stamina bar that takes a while to charge and constant pressure on you when you stop to allow it to charge, it all gets very frustrating.

Overcome a cast of terrors.

The final areas of this game caused me to turn down the difficulty down when going through it and I am NOT the type of gamer to turn down difficulty that much at all. In Sound Mind has some very solid atmosphere to it. This game is incredibly witty and self-aware. The game knows how to mess with a player. It would scare me at times just from unexpected happenings that weren’t even jump scares. It would make me bust out laughing at how well-timed some of the mannequin with gestures would just suddenly appear. As you walk by phones, they will often ring so that the main antagonist in the game can speak with you. If you hang up in his face, he might suddenly appear to tell you off. The music in this game is really something. The game has atmospheric tracks and it even has its own theme song for each patient. The theme songs are quite well done. There are also tons of collectibles to find. The collectibles help you upgrade your character. This game has some clever hiding spots for items. The game’s inventory management could use some work. You can cycle through inventory with the bumper buttons or you can select from an inventory list with the directional pad (only up and down directions). You can only switch between two different items at once using a certain button. All of this inventory management can get hectic when in battles with tons of enemies later in the game when you have tons of items in your inventory. The inventory would be much better if we could map the full directional pad to four items. I did experience a few performance issues here and there.

It seems like this game has constant stutters in the framerate every few minutes. It’s hard to say if the stutters are from loading or something else (maybe some hardware incompatibility?). I also fell through the floor in a few segments and was forced to restart. The game just seems like it would be more solid when everything looks so great. It did have an update halfway through my playing of the game which seemed to make the game run a bit better. The overall graphics are quite good. The lighting is well done and really forces you into using a flashlight in dark areas. Have you ever seen something out of the corner of your eye, but nothing was there? Maybe it’s always there and just barely out of sight, and no matter where you look, you swear that you still see it. Dread inching its way through your veins, slow but steady, until you finally break into a run. You are desperately trying to get away from the being. Today, we have a survival horror title that attempts to recreate that feeling in the We Create Stuff-developed In Sound Mind. Desmond Wales, a therapist, has been trapped in what appears to be his apartment building. Although something is wrong, he feels like he is being watched, and it isn’t long until he sees a mysterious entity that torments him. While exploring his surroundings, Desmond discovers that his patients’ homes are in his apartment building, existing in taped sessions between himself and a patient. Now he must dive into the tattered psyches of his former clients. All while attempting to figure out what they had in common, besides himself.

The premise of In Sound Mind reveals itself gradually, only sharing enough through his recordings and hints about each person that Desmond treated. For example, Virginia, the first tape that players tackle, is littered with mirrors, exploring her personal trauma and eventual resolution. Each story is self-contained as each character had no interactions with the other, leading Desmond to question whether or not he is the cause. Even though the tapes seemingly have nothing to do with the other, each story pulled me in, and by the end, I felt connected to the characters and this supernatural world. Their issues are relatable while showing how unhinged they are, which is a hard line to walk without forcing exposition down players’ throats. Instead, expertly threading the victim’s account so that everything feels cohesive by the end and draws players in naturally. However, there is a formula followed that’s easy to notice once the second recording has begun. This formula keeps the narrative structure that neatly bookends each story and rewards players with a definitive conclusion for each tale. I would have appreciated slight variations of the formula to differentiate the stories further. This is a minor complaint but adding that little extra variety helps to up engagement. Despite the formulaic format, I was enthralled by my time spent on every session. The boss encounters at the end of each stage is unique and challenging, which overcomes the shortcomings of the normal enemies. Each needs to be dispatched by exploiting their psychoses, using unique items you obtain earlier in the level. These encounters add plenty of thrills.MORDHAU
