HAAK Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl Haak just made its debut on Switch todayFor more information about the game Apocalyptic wastelandIn terms of art style, HAAK uses old-school graphics and dark tones to present a desolate scene of ruins, which is in line with its background of the apocalypticwasteland, aiming to bring players into the future of the eschatological world to experience that sense of desolation.Responsive controlsWe’d never design a game that would give you finger cramps! so that each game experience is fresh and not repeated. Are you ready to take it to 100% completion? Only about 3 hours of content if you not doing side-quests and trinket hunting, but overall I think the game could be decent, mainly I just want more locations and the exploration should be more exciting. Technically the game could pass as a metroidvania, even though it’s pretty linear for the first 60 minutes, once you unlock the heavy attack it will have more freedom. Stylistically, the game has a lot going on, it feels like a mixture of precision platformer, puzzle platformer and cinematic platformer with the whole ledge grabbing, but generally, I would say the level design feels very puzzle-oriented. I actually like its simple combat mechanics with a slash attack and directional lash, but the enemy design does not take full advantage of it, I think the game could use more agile humanoid enemies. There is only one proper boss fight which I did enjoy because it was very centred around dodging and following up, I think the game needs more of that. There are 4 available areas in the current version, but only 2 of them have some exploration value, with the last one being just a really long boss chase. You can visit the town that hopefully will be some kind of hub area, however, it does not have a lot of content at the moment aside from one side quest

As the story is not yet complete

I would like for the developers to expand on the backtracking centred around that location. For the most part, I enjoyed the platforming gameplay and level design, I think the developer utilized the game mechanics very well. You can purchase several basic upgrades like damage and critical chance, the UI shows a pretty extensive skill progression but it’s very limited in the current build. The story and world-building have some promising signs, I hope they expand on the lore because that is what got my attention while I was visiting the town area. You don’t get to interact with many characters but I enjoyed reading the dialogue in those rare situations (add more characters and quest givers in the city). World Building & Exploration – I would like to see more content revolving around the city and the characters that you find there, that will allow you to expand on the lore and break the repetitiveness of constant puzzles. You should put some waypoints so you can go in and out more efficiently. Maybe you could have some type of assassination side quests for mini-bosses and perhaps even a shop to change the colour and properties of the weapon. In general, I would like to see more detailed areas in the city that would be locked until you complete a certain task, and you could further expand on those with new side-quests and characters. The Shapeshifting Detective

Right now I feel like you focusing too much on linear progression when I really would prefer to find my own way through the contentto further elaborate on the idea of colour swaps for the weapon, I like the animation of the attacks in general, I am sure people would enjoy it even more if they could swap the blue effect for another one. Perhaps you could get a yellow form of a weapon from a side quest, it will have less damage but it could have other properties, like longer splash effect, slowing enemies, burning enemies and so on. And if you do that, just make sure you lock those behind some side quests so you have a decent reward for your troubles, maybe one in store, and one as a reward. Difficulty – I think the difficulty is mostly fair, but I have a few small nitpicks. For those electricity effects where you have to time them, I think they should have a longer delay, a lot of the time you kinda dash off-screen and hit something. The last section with the chasing boss was a little brutal, maybe put one more checkpoint toward the end. When all is said and done, Haak left me with a good taste. Its tactical action-platforming is both fun and intuitive, and the puzzles were approachable without being too easy. Combining pixel art with a cartoonish style, the visuals were pleasing to look at. Sadly, the game lacks enemy variety, and the lore is disappointing.

Weapon Upgrades

it’s hard to say how it will turn out. is an action platformer set in the ruins of a civilization long gone. Thanks to Metroidvania level design, the player is free to explore at their own pace. It draws inspiration from Hollow Knight, a fact that is immediately apparent. The game is developed by the Chinese indie studio Blingame, who has no past records of releasing a game on Steam.Set in the ruins of a long-gone city, HAAK contains all the tropes you’ve come to expect from a post-apocalyptic setting. The closest things to civilized communities are the quarantine zones run by governmental organizations. Meanwhile, the wastes serve as a home to gangs of marauders, robots, and weird, slimy creatures. The only thing keeping it from becoming clichéd is the Chinese setting. The visuals blend traditional pixel art with cartoonish graphics, resulting in a unique, yet somewhat familiar style. Despite the gloomy setting, it still manages to shake things up with bright colors appearing once in a while, almost as a sign that there’s still hope. The four areas accessible in the current version are fairly varied as well, and they highlight the social hierarchies in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. Guided by the voice of a mysterious being, Haak, our protagonist, traverses the Sanhe Wasteland in search of his brother. The Talos Principle VR

As the game is still in early access, I can’t say if this is a tale worth telling. I was disappointed with the lore, as there isn’t a lot. You can find terminals with pieces of text, but none of them gave me any insight into how the world came to an end. What captured my interest was the gameplay, so let’s talk about that. The gameplay consists of combat, platforming and puzzle solving. Early on, Haak acquires an electric hook, usable for multiple purposes. In combat, you can use it to kill enemies from a distance by aiming with the right joystick or your mouse. The aiming mechanics are intuitive, but they take some time to get used to. But that’s not all. It can also be used to activate nearby contraptions, which proves to be quite useful during puzzles. This is easily Haak’s best gameplay mechanic. While there is a melee attack, using it is often discouraged. There’s even an enemy that punishes you for getting up close and personal! Speaking of puzzles, they often revolve around mechanisms that must be activated or disabled to progress. They require you to be quick and precise, as platforming is often involved. I found them to be quite challenging, but I was never stuck at a location for too long, and I’m by no means an expert at puzzle games. One sequence forced me to think creatively to get past a set of laser traps.

Haven’t I been here before?

To achieve this, I hung on the side of a moving object, which protected me from the damage I would’ve otherwise suffered. Haak’s puzzles are accessible, without being too easy. The same could be said for the combat. There are a few challenging fights along the way, but I never spent too much time in one location.Unfortunately, there’s not enough variety in the enemies you encounter, and they’re uninspired at that. There’s robots, slimy creatures and dogs, but not much else. I would’ve loved to see some Fallout-esque mutants, but there’s none of that. It’s not that big of a deal as the puzzles are the focal point, but it’s a pressing matter nonetheless. The few boss battles differ, and were the peak of what the combat achieved.HAAK is a Metroidvania, an aspect displayed in both the progression and level design. For the uninitiated, it means that you’ll slowly attain more abilities, which not only allow for new opportunities in combat, but also grant access to areas previously inaccessible. To get the best experience, you will have to go back to previously visited areas. You’ll occasionally find items that entrust upgrades. Life Shards are the main attraction here. These contribute to your health points, adding one for every three you find. Like I mentioned before, you’ll attain new powers every so often. The Universim

These could be the ability to dash, or deflect projectiles. It’s always satisfying when you discover the skill that lets you access a location you were perplexed about. However, it’s clear that the game was inspired by Hollow Knight, as many of the gameplay mechanics and even the UI layout is reminiscent of that title. You can acquire money by completing quests and destroying crates littered throughout the areas you visit. Perhaps it was just me having a stroke of bad luck, but I only discovered the latter after completing the main story. This meant that I didn’t have the chance to purchase any upgrades, as I was puzzled as to how I should complete the only side quest I found. The upgrades aren’t anything worth talking about. You can upgrade your attack damage, the range of your hook and so on. I’m sure you know the deal. For me, it wasn’t a problem as the powers were enough to give me a sense of progression. Still, I just couldn’t help but feel that there was a better alternative. It is what it is. There were also some minor translation errors, such as a mission objective telling me to “Found a way to killing the ooze”. Luckily, they don’t impact the overall experience much, and the dialogue remains intact throughout.

It only took me five hours to complete the game, and at that point, I had explored a lot. Perhaps it would be wise to wait for a sale. An excellent platformer with a pleasant visual style in which we have to explore the game locations, pass a variety of tests associated with the destruction of various monsters, overcome many traps and solve unusual puzzles. All we need to do to uncover the darkest secrets of this post-apocalyptic world. According to the plot, our hero’s name is Haak, he is a traveler, and so he decides to go from the north to the south in order to find a hope for survival, and on his way he meets different interesting characters that will tell him all the details of survival in the southern part of the world. In addition, our hero, has unusual skills, such as speed jerk, power strokes and throwing hook, all this will methodically destroy the enemies that get in our way. Fight with enemies we will on perfectly drawn maps with dynamic soundtracks that will allow us to relax after a hard day’s work. Fans of colorful platformers are definitely recommended to buy.
