Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator Free Download Unfitgirl It’s a struggle to master all aspects of cooking, but it’s a challenge that is intriguing for players. If you enjoy cooking simulators, the ability to alter a dish’s appearance is fantastic, especially because it has actual value. Going through the multiple steps sounds exhausting, but it’s a great simulation of what actual chefs go through. Being a Michelin starred chef is not easy, and the experience doesn’t shy away from this truth. If you enjoy cooking, it’s easy to spend hours just practicing your cooking and plating skills. The reward is a dish that is well-received by customers, though you must move onto the next one quickly. Unlike other restaurant simulators, the management side of owning a restaurant is brought to the fore here. The quality of your dishes is important, which means you must ensure that you have the supplies to create them. At the same time, you have to ensure you have enough funds to pay other expenses. This doesn’t mean you must forgo staff or another extreme. But you need to consider what your menu will be, what you can afford, and what dishes you can create. It’s an interesting perspective to deal with the limitations of your supplies. Rather than giving you unlimited supplies, you must purchase your own stock and work with it. You must think like a business owner and chef, and it’s an interesting challenge to work with. It demands planning and ingenuity, which can be a lot to balance for a casual player. But if you stick with it, the results will be satisfying as you work your way up the ladder. With fine dining as a potential route, Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator has great food even at the beginning. There’s great attention to deal with the food, and it looks mouth-watering when the final result is complete. Even if you make your own edits to the overall design, the individual items never lose their professional appearance. The equipment and human characters don’t get the same attention to detail, but everything looks realistic. You’d think given the countless hours we’ve spent watching Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares that we’d have picked up a thing or two about running a successful restaurant. Alas, it seems the only thing we’ve picked up is his proclivity for foul-mouthed tirades, which we discovered a mere couple of hours into Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator. Our opening night at the restaurant started well. We were flipping meat, chopping vegetables. It was a veritable cook-fest. But we soon lost track, one dish after another turning into inedible, barely recognisable gloop, and our customers were left hungry and annoyed. How do you burn a salad? Despite a slightly unpolished presentation, Chef Life can be quite a bit of fun. You start the day ordering produce and you can then prep for the evening’s service if you want. You pick the dishes that are on the menu, and then when the doors open you get cooking. Cooking is mainly down to time management and some actions using the right analogue stick.

A restaurant with their personal lives, including their family and social life.

You stir by turning it in a circular motion, and you need to do that before the stir bar fills up or the sauce will stick to the pan. Similarly, you need to flip the steak before one side burns, and you need to get those chips out of the deep fat fryer before they end up crispy and hollow like the ones Nanna used to make. Do well and everyone is happy and they might leave tips. You can spend your hard-earned coin on new cooking equipment, décor for your bistro, furniture, that kind of thing. As you progress, you learn new recipes, and you can add new flourishes to old ones. Eventually you get more chefs you can lead to help you out. And if you’re really struggling there’s options to lower the difficulty significantly, which makes the game quite chilled out if that’s more your thing. These early lessons in repetition and formula are very helpful to establish the game’s structure, even if it doesn’t necessarily stick when the heat is on. I must admit I had some horrible flashbacks to cooking in an actual kitchen and forgetting to do a part of a recipe, subsequently ruining the pace and structure I’d set out. Probably where I get my disdain for following recipe rules to the letter. Chef Life tried its best to get me back in the saddle though. I did find it quite therapeutic in the way good simulators do. Where the thought of performing said sim activity in real life might cause you to break out in hives, but in a game it’s somehow a more compelling experience. ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 3

I felt genuine pride in the dishes I was creating and how my restaurant was perceived, and that of course fed into the stress of things going wrong. A frazzled mind pre-preps too much of a meal that doesn’t sell that night, or turns around to fry something and realizes all the pans are dirty or in use. As the game progresses and the workload gets greater, you can have a sous chef help in the preparation of food, and the more you involve them, the quicker they are able to do more complex things, thus making your life easier. It can be hard to let go of the reins in this way, but it’s absolutely necessary to avoid frustration and overload. While it does sort of help keep things focused, the game’s visuals are simple and unexciting and feature a stilted animation style. Your character moves with a lot less grace than your menu might suggest, and interactions with other characters tend to be like chatting with robots. Again, simplicity is beneficial in keeping your focus on the complexities, and I get that this is a game designed to scale for multiple formats of differing power, but a little more wouldn’t be the worst thing. When you eventually open your restaurant after a bit of practice, your day begins to have a structure and routine. You begin every morning with a free slate to approach the coming day how you want. Set your menu, order goods, maybe buy some new furniture for the restaurant, and even indulge in a little pre-prep for the evening’s service.

They can move up the career ladder to become a celebrity chef or even open their own restaurant.

The staff arrive a few hours later, and you can set them to doing tasks such as prep or cleaning. Once you’re sure you’ve nothing else that needs doing you can head to your office and speed time up until you’re needed again or service is to begin. I like that despite how hectic service can get, Chef Life ensures you can approach it as calmly and casually as you wish. Having an extended period of time before the evening service where there’s nothing else to think about is great for getting all your ducks in a row. And should you find the demands of cooking a bit much, you can toggle a couple of things to make it a lot calmer and more enjoyable. Both relate to the customers. One toggle prevents the guests from getting impatient because the salad that should take ten minutes tops has now got to be hunted down on a globe-spanning caper (no, not actually, but yes, that would be a hilarious aside). The time pressure is a puzzle in itself, and while it’s part of the thrill inherent to running a restaurant, it’s a blessing that you can just switch it off and focus if you aren’t prepared for that much pressure. The second option ensures meals can’t be ruined. So that steak can’t be over/underdone, the pan-fried fish won’t resemble a wrinkled flap of dead skin, and the sauce won’t be stuck to the bottom of a pan like Spider-Man’s used tissues in a bin. Personally, I think these toggles work best with one or the other being used because using both strips a lot of the joy out of the game’s cycle, but obviously, that’s not going to be everyone’s experience. A Well Prepared Dish Small grumbles aside, I really quite enjoyed my time with Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator. It’s not overly complex, but it offers just enough depth to capture the spirit of its subject matter. The story stuff is arbitrary. Getting a Michelin star is certainly enough of a reason to make your restaurant the best it can be, but it honestly doesn’t matter. If you’re happy with what you’ve created, that’s the game’s true reward. The furniture and dish options are really cute and there are a few to start but the catalog has quite a bit of additional options. I also noticed additional chef attire, hairstyles, makeup, tattoos etc which are purchased through the catalog in your office, hopefully they will add more of everything to the catalog in the future. I would like to be able to customize the staffs appearance. Not sure if this is possible? The game has a lot of realistic aspects and once you get through the initial tutorial and open the restaurant there are gameplay options that make running it, easier or harder, as well as tons of additional responsibilities and things to do. Can’t wait to see what DLC is ahead. Only issue I had was the LT button didn’t allow me to stir or start the next day. I had to use my mouse for this. Only thing I couldn’t type my name in when I first customized my character, but after the tutorial I was able to go into the computer station in the office and change my name with the steam keyboard. Graphics are good! There’s a calm mode so you can master the recipes before getting customers who get impatient and such.

Including hiring and firing staff, buying ingredients, and setting prices.

Learning how to cook isn’t too hard either and this is from a person with terrible irl cooking experience lol Only played for a couple of hours, but I’m already sucked in. Can’t wait to play more. Very good simulator without it feeling too robotic and stiff in my opinion! I usually don’t leave reviews but after seeing a “Mixed” rating the first day of launch, I feel like I have to leave a positive review. This is the exact type of cooking game that I’ve been hoping for and I’ve really enjoyed it thus far. It has its flaws, but none of them made me not want to play this game. Many of them can be fixed fairly easily, assuming that the devs take the player’s concerns seriously. This is the first cooking game I’ve played that plays like a serious game. I don’t know what it is about this genre, but all of the cooking games that I’ve played have all been about wackiness, chaos, and destruction. Don’t get me wrong, those type of games can be fun, but for someone who just wants to cook dishes ranging in complexity, those games just didn’t satisfy that itch. The challenge in this game isn’t about dodging obstacles, slipping on spilled liquids, putting out kitchen fires, or fighting with annoying physics-based controls. The challenge is about completing sophisticated recipes, while managing your team of chefs and getting customers’ orders’ out quickly. It’s a nice feeling when you’re able to do recipes quicker and quicker after learning how to best optimize and prep for the menu that you have chosen for your restaurant. There’s a lot more I’d like to write, but it’s getting late lol. Overall, the game has a ton of potential for the future like different ethnic cuisine types, tons more recipes, more kitchen tools/gadgets, different game modes, etc. I hope this game succeeds so we can see more content added in the future. Speaking of operations, that’s the other half of the game that you’ll need to pay attention to. You’ll need to buy ingredients and stock up when there are good sales, but you also need to watch where you source your foods from as that could impact your eco responsibility standing, which impacts your coworker’s ability to work (I didn’t quite understand this one much). Menu management includes learning new recipes and upgrading the ones you already know, which will attract more customers and in turn, more revenue. Equipment doesn’t come cheap, y’know. And there’s a lot of tools you’ll need to buy or even double up on, so your kitchen is working at capacity. Now I do have to say that I am not a fan of the user interface very much. It’s a bit cumbersome to navigate especially when you’re working on a timer. You might take out more ingredients than you want to in the heat of the moment, and sometimes notifications may not be as helpful as they should be, especially when multiple overlap. Another issue I have with the game is that it has a very tight policy of only letting prepped ingredients move into the restaurant’s opening if they’re in a fridge.

You’ll get much more storage later on, but it doesn’t make much sense why some prepped foods (like soups on a tray) sitting out on the counter ready to be served will just up and vanish once it’s time to open. This also includes ingredients sitting in your inventory as well, and sometimes you’ll forget to put something away making serving time just a little harder. On a smaller note, I did run into a bug related to this where one of my blending stations became unusable because I had left pesto on it prior to opening the shop. Thankfully restarting the game will load you prior to opening hours, but it’s a nuisance, nonetheless. This all might sound daunting, but it really isn’t too bad. For starters, you’ll have plenty of time to make preparations. One aspect of running your own establishment is that you get to decide on the menu and cut up foodstuffs ahead of time. From the start of the day all the way until you open up shop, there’s plenty of time to check out requests from regulars to directing staff to prepare meals. The game starts off fairly slow in this regard and opens up over time which gave me a lot of comfort, as I was concerned that my inability to cook in real life would find its way into the game. The foods you get to cook look tasty too, stuff you’ll see from Michelin restaurants all over the world. And you can change the plating of a dish to your liking, provided you can muck about with how food plops onto the dish. Plus, there are accessibility options you can turn on, such as fewer customers coming in, no-fail dishes, and even turning off the time limit on when orders should be fulfilled.
