Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Free Download Unfitgirl Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, which released alongside Snow Moto Racing Freedom initially as an Italian exclusive but which later made its way to the UK, shares many similarities with its close-to-namesake, albeit applied to a slightly different extreme sport. However, if I had to pick one of the two, this is the game I would prefer to play. Starting immediately on the visuals, the snow game, which I reviewed back in March, naturally has a very limited colour palette of white and shades of grey to deal with. By comparison, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is much more colourful and is helped by race courses set in a variety of different environments, from racing around an oil rig to even tearing through the water inside of a sports stadium. The game is just far more interesting to look at from the off, and that lends to a bit more atmosphere too – you feel like you’re around life, while there were moments in the snow game that made you feel isolated up in the mountains. Much like in the snow game, the racing action is based around reaching markers and performing sharp turns around them before heading off to the next one. All the while, you’ll get a rating for how close you manage to get to each marker, building up a boost gauge which allows you to unleash some serious speed. The trouble is, with so many twists and turns on each course, most of the time it’s too difficult to maintain your control and keep your racing line when pulling the boost trigger, and you’ll only have a realistic chance at pulling it off at one or two straight points in the course. Miss three of the markers by passing them on the wrong side.Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

And you’re disqualified. This is pretty harsh, too – you will get bumped off course by your opponents in cases and pushed unwillingly the wrong side of the marker, but the game hardly gives you a chance to correct yourself before it whips out a strike onto your record. Tides add an extra element to the gameplay too. You can perform tricks as you go over ramps littered across all of the courses, with the penalty of falling off and losing valuable seconds if you don’t land facing in the right direction at the end of them. But in the oil rig course in particular, the water is so choppy that you feel like you’re in a posh leisure centre’s wave machine, and picking up speed to get the air to perform tricks is likely to launch you way beyond where you were hoping to land. So the challenge is there, and the arcade gameplay is nigh-on the same as in Snow Moto Racing. If it’s a racing sim you’re after, I’d go for this over the likes of MXGP3, which I reviewed earlier this week, simply due to the depth. This has local, online and split screen multiplayer – top marks for that, when the aforementioned motocross title had zilch by way of letting you play against friends. Add in the race types, focused on speed, markers and tricks respectively, and you’ve got a fair bit of variation here. When I think of aqua racing, I’m immediately taken back to the glory days of the Nintendo 64 and the massively popular WaveRace 64. That game, for its time, was fun, fast paced, challenging and gorgeous. So much so that to this day, I cant recall a title that I’ve played that even comes close to its well developed systems. Does Aqua Moto Racing Utopia steal that mantle?

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Gameplay.

No, not even by the longest of shots. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is a laggy, UI bombing mess that comes tethered to loading times that would put Duke Nukem Forever to shame. It’s unfortunate really, because if the optimization was better set and the game was given more polish and balance to its gameplay, we could have been looking at an entirely different beast. Though, even with those issues in mind, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is still a passable game, especially if you enjoy the formula. There’s a lot of perseverance involved when you first boot up the title, so we’ll tackle these downsides first. Loading up the game you’ll be able to select your avatar, against a small pool of customization. Problems with the performance comes into view immediately. The UI is well laid out for the most part, but navigating it is far removed. There’s a considerable amount of lag when you’re doing something as basic as selecting a specific option, or browsing through a list of options. It took me north of thirty seconds just to select the region I wanted to play as, due to no other reason than a delayed slider that seems to have a mind of its own. Once this is done, players are able to customize their avatar’s appearance via a selection of generic options; gender, outfit colors, size, facial features, tattoos and so on and so forth. From here, the game asks whether or not you want to take on a tutorial, which is naturally a great place to start for newcomers and curious players alike. The tutorial provides tips on how to race and stunt, without outstaying its welcome. It would have been nice if the tutorial was a little bit clearer as to what it requires you to do, but as it stands. POWER CHORD

it gets the job done either way. When you’re done with the tutorial (which can be taken on time and time again), the main menu allows you to dive into single events, championships, split screen play and online. Safe to say that there’s no shortage of content included. Online play remains quite empty, which is pretty much a given when we take into account that Aqua Moto Racing Utopia has had very little promotion leading up to its Xbox One release. Hopefully we see this fill out in due course, but I would lying if I said I held any hope for that to come to past. That being said, if you’re looking for some friendly fun and can band together some family and friends, the split screen mode offers a sizable amount of content to keep the game alive for some addition hours. The campaign, on the other hand, is split into three sections; Runabout Division, Ski Division and Freestyle Division. Each division offers a number of championships to take to, with each growing in difficulty as you dive deeper in. The main differences between each of these divisions is that two (Runabout and Ski) are racing based, whereas the final division (Freestyle) is stunt based. One of the best aspects of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is that it boasts a surprisingly robust selection of tracks to take to, over forty in fact, spanning over ten locations. Many of these locations tend to slightly alter the fields of play via calm/rough water behavior, which is a nice touch. I quite enjoyed the track design, too. Each track has been carefully developed to ensure that the gameplay remains fresh and exciting from beginning to end, regardless as to which location you’re situated at. Group this with the several modes that are on offer and there’s little reason to scoff at the generous asking price here, more so given the fact that the game is half price during launch week.

Custom Race.

On the topic of its price, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is well worth the price of admission, even with it’s issues in place. Though, as already aforementioned, several aspects of the game already mentioned, and yet to mention, hinders the overall package. Gameplay is fairly straightforward. Each track, depending on your mode, will have a set amount of buoys in place. Red buoys need passing on the right, whereas yellow buoys need passing on the right. Failing to correctly pass a buoy will result in a swift respawn, much like when you hit an object or go off track. There are also some poker-like chips littered all over each track, in which collecting as many of these as possible, will up your currency and allow you to purchase new goodies. There’s also a boost gauge in place that can be slowly filled by successful landing stunts and correctly passing buoys. Once full, you can utilize a brief yet effective boost that can help to give you an edge over the competition. The only downside to this is that stunts are not nearly as interesting or as diverse as they could have been. This is a shame, really, because the game is quite deep elsewhere and would have certainly benefited from some extra care and attention to its wilder side. The different watercraft’s come with varying stats, covering the usual pros and cons; speed, handling and so on. It certainly pays off to find a craft you’re comfortable with, but for the most part, they all tend to vary in such a way that no single vehicle feels outmatched. Much like alluded to above, there’s a lot to soak up within and heaps of different (mostly) fun events and tracks to enjoy. Sadly, outside of the poor optimization, the visuals come second place in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia’s list of issues, followed closely by poor audio.Beneath the Mountain

Regardless as to the fact that Aqua Moto Racing Utopia has a lot of depth, the visuals look very dated, sitting somewhere in the region of mid-last gen visuals. The same can be said about the soundtrack and audio cues, which does very little to bolster what could have been a much better, more refined title. Had Aqua Moto Racing Utopia had better optimization, better visuals, better stunts and better audio, I would have been inclined to give it a much higher score. From one perspective Nintendo’s Switch is slowly striking the N64 classics off its hit list – in the nicest possible way. Over the past year the likes of Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have passed the torch to the likes of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Breath of the Wild respectively. With Aqua Moto Racing Utopia splashing down onto the eShop (with a seemingly limited retail edition, too), should we dare to hope that Wave Race 64 is next to fall? No, we shouldn’t. Sorry to be blunt, but we need to dispel that inevitable comparison straight away. It’s deeply unhelpful to what is a solid, inoffensive but rather mediocre aquatic racer. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia has its roots in smartphone gaming, but it does have some Nintendo pedigree. Back in 2013 Zordix launched Aqua Moto Racing 3D onto the 3DS eShop. What you’re getting here is an essentially similar experience, but with vastly improved graphics and technical performance. You and a bunch of AI opponents bomb around a variety of watery environments on your jet-skis, nipping through mangroves, ducking under bridges and scraping past oil tankers. Each open environment contains a loosely structured course for you to follow, as delineated by coloured buoys.

Online racing mode.

Red buoys must be passed to the right, while yellow buoys need to be passed to the left. Passing closer to those buoys does more than maximise your racing line – it also fills your boost gauge faster. Once this gauge is full you can launch yourself forward at an accelerated rate for a few seconds. Another way to fill that boost gauge is to perform stunts off the many ramps that are littered across each course. You can spin or flip your jet-ski by holding ZL and the left stick, perform a number of poses by holding the right stick in a direction, or combine the two. Fail to land your jet-ski straight, though, and you’re set for a messy fall and a time-sapping restart. There are a lot of messy falls in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, and that’s largely down to the game’s brutal water physics. On the positive side, it makes every lap genuinely unpredictable. What were smooth waters on the first lap could be roiling swells by the end, often thanks to the wakes of your opponents. Memorising the courses only gets you so far here, as you need to be able to feel out the waters and predict what they’re going to do to you. One open sea course sets you racing towards a brutally hemmed-in hairpin turn. If you just motor on into the turn you’ll probably leap off one of the huge waves straight into the side of a hulking boat. Feather the throttle, dip your nose down into the bigger waves and hold ZL to make a tight turn, however, and you have a chance of making it through. Water has a pronounced effect, then, but it’s often overly exaggerated and lacking in that organic flow that the best aquatic racers (like Wave Race) have. Combined with the harsh penalty for any kind of direct collision with your competitors or the level furniture, ‘unpredictable’ can quickly become a negative trait. Similarly clumsy are the graphics.

Everything’s somewhat gaudy and cheap looking, and Aqua Moto Racing Utopia just can’t shake off that feeling of an eight-year-old smartphone game despite its sharpened edges. The water, meanwhile, has a slightly uncanny look and feel to it, and it often feels like it’s made of a jelly-like substance rather than liquid. Aside from straight races you’ll also encounter stunt-focused rounds, and these tend to show off the clunkiness of the game’s physics systems as you struggle and jostle to line yourself up for a clean jump. Local multiplayer fans are well catered for, with splitscreen competition for up to four players. It runs quite nicely even in handheld mode, where the basic graphics aid legibility on the Switch’s small screen. There’s no provision to tackle the campaign mode in multiplayer, unfortunately, but there are four party games to keep you all entertained: Aqua Moto Hockey, Keep the Flag, King of the Hill and Duckling Mama. The latter resembles an aquatic Mario Kart battle mode (if you squint), with a colour coded arena and a cute duck-stealing mechanic. None of it’s outstanding, but there’s definitely entertainment to be had given the chaotic nature of the racing. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is a challenging watercraft racing game which combines extreme speed, stunts and state-of-the art water simulation into a modern action filled gaming experience. Featuring an extensive career mode with three single player championship campaigns, 4 player split screen racing and also an 8 player Online racing mode, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia offers action fueled fun. Add to that 4 creative party modes for that perfect gaming party. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia lets you create your your own unique avatar to show off online with its powerful creation tool.

The tool also lets you design your own vehicle to stand out from the pack when you push past that last competitor to claim first place in a tight race. Sharpen your riding skills to perfection in 10 different beautiful environments with different weather and lighting conditions. Learn when to, and not to, push that boost button to pass your competitors through calm water or through huge North Sea waves. Let’s get the negatives out of the way first, because you’re probably worried about them and decided to look at some reviews first. I was aware before buying this game that it had a reputation for aggressive AI, or in other words: opponents that like to ram you. Well that’s not quite the case. The real cause of that is the vehicle “mass,” or “weight.” Both you and your opponents are very easy to knock around. In the Ski division this isn’t really a problem, but it heavily affects the Runabout division. Why? Size. You just make contact far more often, and frustratingly it really does affect your racing lines, which is already tough to keep tidy because you’re driving on water. Also, in theory, the runabouts have longer tail sections (sticking out past the axis on which the watercraft model pivots) making them easier to spin out. Now, I was sure to play at least two thirds of the tournaments to get good data, and while these things do occur, they don’t happen near enough to deem it “game-breaking.” But they sure are noticable, so you can never quite feel safe knowing your lap can be ruined in an instant. Player Solutions: Never intentionally make contact, and if you’re hung up on an opponent just get off the throttle. Usually their racing line is messed up too, so the sooner you get off of them the sooner you can pass them. Dread Templar
