The Jackbox Party Pack 8 Free Download Unfitgirl Good news for fans of prolonged Discord calls where people share a single screen and talk over each other, and for streamers who are way braver than they should be, because there’s a new Jackbox game out. The Jackbox Party Pack 8 is the latest in the line of party game collections designed entirely to have you and your friends laughing at and with each other. As with all of the Jackbox Party Packs, there’s five party games included, each player taking part by whipping out their phone and logging in to a web page lobby, following instructions that are given to them by a shared screen. These days, that screen can either be one you’re all gathered round or one that’s being beamed across the internet. Of the five games, four of are brand-new, each with new absurdities contained within. The new games are Job Job, The Poll Mine, Weapons Drawn, and The Wheel of Enormous Proportions. The final game is Drawful Animate, which is a funky new twist on the classic Drawful that you may have heard of/are deeply in love with. As is often the case, a review of the pack has to be a breakdown of sorts, so let’s get into the sickening heavy riffs. In Drawful Animate, all players given a prompt and have to draw it. The prompts are either sayings you’ll recognise, or utter nonsense, but either way you have to make something that represents it so that, when presented to the group, they can come up with witty alternative prompts and try to score points. The new twist here is that you actually draw two images, and it works as though you’ve animated them. It’s good fun as always, and while it can be frustrating for those who don’t like drawing, it’s a blast for everyone else. Just give us an undo button, please. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Weapons Drawn has you drawing once again, but this time you’re all potential murders and victims. You have to try and hide a letter taken from your name in each of your murder weapon drawings – gun, sword, guillotine, and so on – before then trying to match a named accomplice to another player in order to commit a murder. With a murder weapon revealed, you all then have to try and find a letter hidden away in the art and accuse someone of being the murderer. It’s a fun concept, but it’s a difficult game to pick up and play and can feel a little finicky at times. You’re not just given printed letter fonts, but can be handed barely legible cursive letters to hide and find, and the font can change mid-game, making it worthless as a clue. The other three games in Jackbox 8 are much wordier. The Wheel of Enormous Proportions is the trivia game this time around. This one has you all answering multiple choice questions to gain wedges to place on a giant wheel. Answering questions correctly nets you points, but so does the wheel landing on one of your wedges in the wheel-spinning round. It’s an odd mix of luck and knowledge, and it’s fun, but the questions are pretty USA-centric as always. Also, getting a huge lead and then losing because the wheel hates you is frustrating. The Poll Mine is probably my least favourite game in the pack. I like the idea, where the players are split into two groups and then ranking words based on whatever the prompt is. It’s then that you all have to figure out which answers comes in at which spot, and whichever team does worst loses. It’s fun, but just a bit boring compared to the other options.

The Wheel of Enormous Proportions

(2-8 players) – Trivia has never been so large! A fantastic, mystical wheel challenges you with a variety of trivia prompts. Winners are awarded slices of the Wheel’s face with a chance to win big with each nail-biting spin. In the end, one player will have their most burning question answered by the great Wheel. Job Job, on the other hand, is my favourite by far. It starts off with you all answering icebreaker questions by typing out your answers. From then on, it jumbles up words and phrases and gives them to you to from answers to job interview questions, which are then presented to the group to pick the funniest option. It’s a weird ransom note-esque thing to do, but results in some incredibly funny moments, especially if people make the most of punctuation and give detailed answers. You might want to institute some house rules that you must form whole sentences for the icebreakers, because this can devolve into a jumble of incoherent options. Are we really to Jackbox Party Pack 8? Yep, we’ve seen a lot of these over the years, but the nature of these packs has evolved. And in so many ways! Iteration has taken barebones ideas to something decidedly more complex. New games have moved from the obvious to the truly weird. And, perhaps most importantly for this installment, the world has become much more about video calls than house parties. The Jackbox Party Pack 8 is the first one fully developed in these conditions, and its collection of games feels like it wanted to be deeper and more involved to fit in a little better. Pathfinder Kingmaker – Enhanced Edition

While there will be plenty of coverage of this pack’s large-group streaming capabilities, this review will, for the most part, focus on the experience for average players. Whether in-person or through video call, this is how most purchasers will likely play. There are certainly archetypes for Jackbox Party Pack games, and the new installment follows them! Even through fresh ideas. So Job Job is the head-to-head, joke voting representative. Instead of Quiplash or the inconsistent Joke Boat, this challenge helps players along with providing some words. Or, rather, all the words? You respond to prompts only by dragging and assembling words from other players and the game itself. It’s this limitation that makes Job Job shine. Whether you’re searching frantically for a preposition or taking advantage of your friend’s extended boat metaphor, it’s hard enough to make coherent thoughts! And that means they’re sometimes funny without a lot of trying. These joke games have always been great for the jesters in your play group, but Job Job does a lot to keep everyone else engaged too. It’s the drawing one! You knew there’d be a drawing one. Drawful Animate brings two-frame animation to the well-worn Drawful formula. As such, yeah, there’s more drawing work to do. Still, ideas can come to life, even simple ones, with just a bit of action. There’s not too much to explain about Drawful Animate if you’ve played another game in the series. But hey: it does change the pacing. Drawings take a bit longer! If your group has gotten comfortable with the Tee K.O. formula of quietly prepping for a while before a quick payoff, it won’t seem so bad, though. And that is something of a theme throughout The Jackbox Party Pack 8. It’s less about introducing people to the format and more about providing varied options for existing fans.

Job Job

Use other people’s words to create unique and funny answers to classic job interview questions. Go head to head to see who scores the job! All the games in the pack have clever, endearing visuals, but we’re calling out the centipede corgi that keeps track of time as a particular favorite. We love that little pal!Sadly, this game is the weakest of the pack. It has elements of Trivia, where if you correctly guess the answer, you’re rewarded with extra wedges that can be placed on a wheel. Said wheel is spun at the end of the round and points/rewards are given if it lands on yours. The reason this doesn’t work is simply that you have multiple elements trying to work with one another and neither really being fleshed out enough to warrant more playthroughs. Sadly, this one doesn’t exactly get our thumbs up, if you’re looking for a better and more fun trivia game, we highly recommend checking out Murder Trivia Party 2 on the Party Pack 6 collection. It’s more fun and less RNG.Split into two teams, you answer survey questions and try and guess the results of all the answers. The team who does this better wins and the other team remains trapped in the mine forever … or at least until the next game. Not through any fault of the game, but it’s one you need to be paying more attention to because the questions aren’t always along the lines of ‘what is the most popular or least popular answer?’. Sometimes it’ll through in some curveballs and if you’re not listening to the question (much to the dismay of anyone on my team) you’ll choose the wrong one and doom your team to failure. Poll Mine is quite enjoyable and gets your brain ticking, one for groups of people who generally know each other fairly well and easily a game that you’ll want to come back to again.Easily the most confusing and hard to learn game of the pack. Weapons Drawn is a social deception game, you’re all dirty filthy murderers and the general idea is to get the attention away from you and direct it to one of the other players, so you don’t get caught. Every time you murder someone you leave a calling card, which is essentially a letter from your name, hidden in an image of your own creation. There are a few things going on here and since it’s more complicated, it tends to be a game that gets better the more you play it (with the same people of course). Fewer laughs to be had in this one, other than having the knowledge of duping your friends successfully that is. But fun nonetheless.After the 8th pack, one might be wondering if these games are losing steam or continuing to improve whilst offering new and fun experiences. Having played countless hours of these with friends, I couldn’t be happier to report that the latter seems to be the case. Wheel of Enormous Proportions was the first game we tried, and there were some red flags of a cacophony of ideas that just didn’t mesh well, but the rest of these titles were bangers that I’ll gladly revisit, including a few all-time favourites (spoiler: it’s Job Job). If you’re looking for your first pack, I would still recommend party pack 6, but this one comes a close second! Check it out.

Weapons Drawn

(4-8 players) – A social deduction game where everyone is both a murderer and a detective. Players doodle all the clues, hiding a letter from their name in the weapon drawings. Can you solve murders while trying to get away with your own? All-in-all, this is a pretty decent Party Pack. I do think every pack that doesn’t include a Quiplash generally suffers in terms of longevity, but Job Job fills a similar hole for Jackbox Party Pack 8. There’s also more of a focus on the feeling of the group being relevant here, instead of it being about one person excelling at whatever the game demands.Overall I really like The Jackbox Party Pack 8. I’ve been enjoying messing around with it with my friends and will definitely keep delving into Job Job, Drawful Animate, and Weapons Drawn. On the other hand, I find the trivia games to be a bit dull, and I think The Poll Mine has a short shelf life, at least when it comes down to how I like to play games.

Trivia! Jackbox wouldn’t be Jackbox without some trivia. The Wheel of Enormous Proportions is one part Wheel of Fortune and one part Legends of the Hidden Temple, adding spinning for points with a big ancient face that talks a lot. Questions can vary a bit, but the primary method is through selecting which items in a group fit certain criteria. The more you get right, the more points you get! But also you get more wedges to place on the wheel to earn you points. The question segment of Wheel is really quite fun. It’s short, though? Perhaps a bit too short. And the wheel segment often feels like it produces too random of a winner to be a satisfying conclusion. The Jackbox Party Pack 8 continues the developer’s struggle to find appropriate endings for its games, throughout the collection. The middle’s the fun part, and we wish it were a little longer. (Or that the setup and finish were compressed somewhat.) If there’s a “stream game” in the pack, it’s The Poll Mine, but it’s fun offline too. In it, you rank options in a set. Like bad lawn ornaments or scary monsters! This part feels a bit like party board game Gift Trap, forced to pick between things that are less than optimal. Paradise Lost

From there, though, you’re divided into two teams and things feel more like Family Feud. Each takes turns choosing an option, hoping it was, in aggregate, ranked within a certain window. Like top three! Or two through four? Getting one right earns your team a torch, while missing loses you one. Torches are lives in the final round, and whichever group stays alive or gets out with the most torches wins. The Poll Mine transforms depending on the context. A smaller group makes it more of a tactical game. Your team knows half of the responses, but saying things out loud will tip your hand to the opponent. A big one skews answers toward Guesspionage-style audience knowledge. But, you say, wait! There was already a drawing game in this pack! Indeed, The Jackbox Party Pack 8 has two games about quick sketches. This one’s a bit different, though: you’re trying to hide a telltale letter in your art that will give yourself away. One letter of your username is picked as your calling card, and other players can compare art of a “murder” with another you did to try to spot it in both and catch you. This game is honestly all over the place. There’s a naming of an accomplice that is tough for others to guess. There’s a voting about which art to investigate. (And then you loop around and do more of them anyway?) It never feels like Weapons Drawn knows entirely what it wants to be. Still, there’s some fun in trying to spot letters. The second round keeps the same letter for your art, but uses different writing styles to make it truly tough. We appreciate the ambition, but this one’s tough to get your mind around most of the time.
