Awesome sequel! Played the original 80s game and loved it, but I might even like this one quite a bit better! It feels that overall a lot of potential that I saw in the first one was developed really well in this 90s sequel. The game took me about 3 hours to complete and I’m looking forward to the arcade only mode! Bright Memory: Infinite

Another fun story with a bit more depth this time (would love the next one to go even deeper). Great controls.  Amazing arcade atmosphere – it looks really cool in there and the games are super fun! Excellent puzzles and great in game hint system (what an awesome psychic)  The ending was so weird, it definitely lived up to its prequel!  I’m a big air hockey fan, so I would love if they improved the AI for the arcade only mode. I feel like it would add a lot to the authenticity of the game if you could carry objects in both hands. 3 It would be nice to be able to control the volume of the music Overall none of these are deal breakers for me. It’s a great game. If you love the 90s, arcades, and/or escape rooms, give it a shot and buy it! Definitely worth the money. I never played any of the LunaBeat Games before, so I went into this with no real experience or expectations in mind. All I knew was: it’s an escape room VR game set in a 90’s Arcade. I’m not the best at puzzles, but I’m so glad I played this game!! This game is an absolute blast. They nailed the 90’s vibe to a T. If you’re in your late 20’s – early 30’s, you basically load into what was likely your childhood room. 🙂 Everything in this game is designed to be as hands-on as possible, meaning no menus other than the bare minimum basics in the smartphone, which makes it incredibly immersive.

You’ll love this sequel!

You start in your Detective’s Office and are immediately treated to a wealth of goodies; clues, puzzle pieces, and a healthy dose of excellent humor that will have you rolling in stitches by the time you reach the end of the game!! Seriously, this game doesn’t take itself too seriously and just decided to have ALL THE FUN, and you’re along for the ride!! What a privilege!! There are tons of little Easter eggs and references that you’re bound to enjoy. 😀 I had a fantastic time playing the various available Arcade games (and cheating some of them) while solving the puzzles as I went along. I had some feedback for the devs, which included using locomotion for movement (it’s teleport only at the time I’m writing this), and enabling background music volume control and subtitles to help with auditory processing issues and hearing issues. They’re wonderful people who took it to heart and put these on their to-do list. An Arcade-only mode is coming in the near future and they would love to do so much more with this game, like looking into multiplayer if it’s a viable goal to achieve in the future, and more! A LOT of love went into this game (which looks like it’s going to become its own entire series if I’m not mistaken Bright Memory: Infinite Gold Edition Switch NSP

but don’t quote me on that :D) and it really, really shows. Look, for this price, do yourself a favor and get this game if you like VR, silliness, the occasional really creepy vibe, 90’s stuff, and Arcade games. Don’t even worry about the puzzling aspects, as long as you explore everything and make use of the hints, you are able to solve them. I am absolutely going to buy this game for friends. This is now a must-play in my list of recommended VR games. I have yet to play its predecessor, but I bought it immediately after playing this one because I need more of this! Loved playing the first 80’s game of Paranormal Detective and even more the 90’s sequel as these were my teenage years (you did not read that, forget it, quick!) which are more clear in my memory. Really enjoyed all the little hints to series, movies and all other details of that time period and the overall environment in a 90’s style. The game is playable on a Valve Index and takes, of course always depending how good you are in riddle solving, I’d say between 2-3 hours. But there is also an Arcade mode upcoming so that after playing the “story mode” you can revisit the Arcade for your entertainment. So yes, worth the price. Get it if you love riddles, or 90’s, or both!

It is a zany, wacky

A very sweet and funny game where you can see and feel the love of the devs to their baby in every corner :).Really enjoyed the game, even though its an escape game I spent most of my time messing around and forgot I was meant to be saving a girl from nexus, my bad “). Devs are super helpful if you need any help or find a issue. Little disappointed I’ve finished the game, was hoping to find another case to solve in my office, looks like I have to get a real job, look forward to the next game. Its fun being a detective bit like in the exorcist VR game but this is less scary and no coffee machine. Played on The Rift S, Ryzen 7 3800X, 6800XT, 32 GB Ram, win 10 64, no problems.Paranormal Detective escape from the 90’s is an entertaining romp through a retro-fueled fever dream. As a product of the late 80’s and early 90’s I felt right at home in the abandoned arcade. For my playthrough I was streaming on Twitch and it was a blast to experience the mystery and puzzles with my community. The puzzles where engaging but the atmosphere stole the show. No spoilers but the ending was equal parts creepy and hilarious. It had my audience rolling. If you liked Paranormal Detective: Escape from the ’80’s Bright Past

While one or two of the puzzles may seem obscure at first, after a bit of reflection, it will come.  And just in case it doesn’t, the phone based help system is excellent. Just a bit of help, then more, then straight to the point. silly, and super fun few hours put together by a team that clearly loves playing games and has a lot of nostalgia for the 80’s and 90’s. Hmm, that sounds familiar. Anywhoooo…. there’s lots and lots of minigames in it. Actually, it is mostly mini games 🙂 This game is filled with such accurate 90’s nostalgia that it’ll make you wonder if they wrote it just for you! There are mini- games within this game. This adds a nice touch. The mystery happens to take place in an arcade, which is basically the absolute best backdrop to play an escape room in. The challenge is there, but it’s not so challenging to push you away. Insert 90’s slang now. Or….NOT. Get it? NOT! (starts headbanging to Anthrax while skateboarding away with my CD player and headphones onward home to play Nintendo on my tubed TV and possibly call my friends on my super cool cordless phone)I love this VR escape room concept!!! and they also have the OG arcade games like skeeball, air hockey… it really makes me nostalgic.

The story was carefully thought out and it didn’t feel forced, plus the attention to detail and the visuals are amazing. 10/10 would recommend to people who loves escape room games! wicked fun, light-hearted casual escape room with fun side activities (really I would have been happy if it was just the basketball game for three hours – kept going back to it!). Rated G for sure, although I doubt the young ‘uns will know what the game is referencing – doesn’t matter, it’s all comprehensible even if you weren’t around in the 90’s. Played through in three-ish hours with a LOT of just fooling around, without spoiling anything very very fun and funny last act. would lovelovelove to have a mode unlock after finishing where you can just hang out in the arcade, but can start again and just save there I guess, so NBD great fun, can I say fun a few more times ? it was simple and enjoyable and I’m going back to hang out, can’t think of higher praise than that. Very fun puzzle/escape room style game with great graphics (even the final boss haha), an amazing atmosphere in the arcade, and very well balanced puzzles that often make you feel smart to complete them without needing many hints. Also the hint system is very good, not giving away the whole thing or giving useless hints.
