Koumajou Remilia Scarlet Symphony Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is clearly inspired by some notable old-school games and it certainly plays like it, too. The core gameplay has you run left and right while jumping over chasms and whipping enemies. Along the way, you’ll face many typical monsters such as skeletons that throw bones, hazardous weeds, and an array of fairies that are more in-line with the Touhou universe. The stages will have you visit a Forest, Misty Woods, Banquet Hall, Dollhouse, Arena, Library, Clock Tower, and Moonlit Spire. Many of the environments feel like they could be in other games yet they still provide a fun monster-filled atmosphere. Overall, it’s a rather “been there, done that” sort of experience but one that at least provides tight gameplay that packs quite a challenge. So, what makes Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony unique? Well, it thankfully features some nifty mechanics that help set it apart from its inspirations. One move that I enjoyed was sliding into a back-flip which is a neat way to lure enemies then attack. More substantially, you can fly whenever you want but don’t assume you can soar over stages because you will be punished by hidden kedama for cheating. The flying mechanic is fairly cool but you can’t whip in mid-air and instead have to throw ofuda which uses your acquired souls. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Meanwhile, you can use more souls to summon unlocked characters which is sort of like a sub-weapon system although I found the whip to be more reliable and powerful in most situations. Plus, there are only a few characters to summon so this system doesn’t add much variety to your repertoire. In the end, these elements are cool but they really don’t do enough to make the gameplay wholly fresh. On the plus side, I enjoyed the graphics and sound of Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony. For starters, the gothic interpretations of the familiar Touhou cast are excellent and once you finish the campaign and see everyone rendered in an anime style, it’s a real shock how different they all look. At the same time, the stage graphics, character and enemy sprites, and attacks are all pixel-perfect and pop with fluid animation. However, there are some minor performance issues that I experienced while playing undocked as the framerate became choppy whenever there were too many enemies onscreen. On a more positive note, the Japanese voice cast is very expressive and brings out each character’s personality while the soundtrack is well done and features interpretations of classic video game tunes. The campaign within Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony consists of 8 stages that aren’t all that long and surprisingly, a good chunk of the levels include some repeated segments to pad things out which makes them become repetitive rather quickly.

Colorful dialogues between Touhou characters

It’s a good thing that the bosses are a lot of fun to challenge, especially once you get their patterns down after a few attempts. Upon completing the game, you unlock an Extra stage which features a handful of bosses and it’s super-tough to beat. Besides 4 difficulty settings and a list of achievement-like Challenges, that’s about all there is to it so don’t expect to spend more than an hour or 2 to master this adventure. Publisher CFK has showcased a brand new trailer for the upcoming remaster of Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony. Originally launched in 2009 for Windows platforms, the game is heavily influenced by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but also injects plenty of ‘Touhou’ bullet-hell style gameplay for good measure. Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is due for launch worldwide on July 28th, 2022. Japan will be getting a fancy physical edition, but since the Japanese release will feature English language support, it may well be worth an import if you’re a fan of the original release. carlet Symphony is a great example of the country coming to terms with their contribution to the indie game world. This is a love letter of sorts to the original Castlevania games (You know, the ones before the Metroidvania ones), so this is a pretty linear action experience in many ways. But does Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony remind us of the good ol’ days of action platformers? Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Or is this a strong reminder that we have moved far, far away from this particular game style and onto bigger and better ones? Let’s find out! Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony follows Reimu, a strong female lead that wields a Belmont-like whip but is also capable of flying and shooting energy, as she tries to figure out what is causing the spread of this scarlet mist that is having a strong, negative effect on the area. Reimu’s concern is that it is spreading too fast, and she is convinced that a particular vampire is behind this and sets off to solve the mystery. Along the way, Reimu encounters multiple characters, some good and many bad, that help to enhance the story with some long (And at times exhausting) dialog, but the wild thing is that all of the characters are represented by some stellar voice acting, giving each personality in the game even more life. The story of Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is a decent one with some plot twists and pretty engaging scenarios. Reimu is a good lead character that banters well with her colleagues and enemies, which makes her quite likeable. The other characters do not quite have her charm and connection, but they all still do a solid job of helping move the story forward. Gameplay is similar to the original Castlevania titles, meaning you need to guide Reimu through stages that ultimately end in a boss fight. In Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony

Reimu’s Weapons

Reimu has the ability to fly, which is a game-changer in many ways, giving her access to the entirety of a stage right from the start. She can attack normally with her whip, but she also can shoot while flying that uses up energy that is collected from killing enemies. In addition to that, Reimu recruits friends to assist her along the journey, and they can come in to perform special attacks to help Reimu is tight situations. Switching them is simple, and executing them is just the press of a button. All that said, the controls in Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony are beyond simple, and yet they are tough to master, which really makes this game feel like an oldschool NES title. Boss fights at the end of each stage are a mixed bag, though, as most of them are loads of fun and a solid challenge while others are nightmares to fight against and spam projectile attacks over and over and over. This is unfortunate to a degree, because stage conclusions can feel like a huge accomplishment or a drag depending on the boss you encounter. Thankfully, dying at a boss and getting a Game Over does not set you all the way back to the beginning like old Castlevania games. Instead, your lives reset and you start the stage you are on over again. Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is also a tough game. Death is looming around every corner, and all enemies deal some decent damage. Gran Turismo 7 PS5

Spikes are also a one hit kill, but thankfully they aren’t too much of a problem since you can fly (Although spikes on the ceiling can be quite problematic). This caters again to boss fights, as the constant spamming of certain attacks can deal serious damage to you, causing a quick death and eventual Game Over in the process. Thankfully, there are Easy and Extra Easy difficulty options for those looking for a break, and there’s even a Hard mode for those looking for a spicy challenge. Graphically, Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is absolutely stunning. This is one of the prettiest pixel-art games out there, and in classic Castlevania fashion, the characters and enemies are all beautifully designed in pixelated art while the backgrounds and certain areas have more of a realistic style. Somehow the two styles blend perfectly, and this really is a gorgeous title because of it.In addition to the amazing artwork, Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony boasts a stellar soundtrack! The rocking tunes throughout sound amazing, and they all compliment their respective levels wonderfully. As I mentioned before, each of the characters are all proper voice acted as well, and everyone does a great job. If there is one thing that this game does perfectly right, it is the amazing art and sound! There’s no wonder why this is such a highly praised indie title in Japan

Marisa and Cirno join the party!

Controls can feel a little bit clunky for those unfamiliar with the original Castlevania titles, but once you get used them, it is an excellently controlled action platformer. The text boxes can seem to go on and on as well, but the story is quite good and the voice acting is even better. Aside from that, this is a relatively short experience (Around 2-3 hours per playthrough), and since the asking price is $29.99 USD, it is a tough pill to swallow. Despite that, Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony is an awesome game that reminds us of simpler and more challenging times in gaming. It looks and sounds amazing, and for the most part, the levels and bosses are a joy to play. It just stinks that some of the boss fights are not up to the same standard as others. I definitely recommend Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony for those looking for an oldschool experience, but if you are trying to find that more modern-day style Metroidvania, this is not going to satisfy. Again, this is akin to the original Castlevania games, it is hard as nails, and it is fantastically designed. If that is what you want, then this is the game for you. I fondly remember this game from back in the day when Touhou was at its peak with tons of memes, fangames and porn. In all honesty though, this game ain’t that deep in comparison to most indie games nowadays, and the controls are a little floaty (you can fly so I guess it was somewhat intended?) and so far it doesn’t look like it has more content in comparison to the original version, but it is really cheap and also really fun for what it is. Besides, it helps me quench my thirst for more Castlevania games, plus, the music is absolutely awesome, hitting a perfect blend between Touhou and Castlevania. I finished normal mode on normal difficulty and extra stage without any problems. I think I had some problems with sfx sounds but I could not tell what that was. Added voices are great, very pleasant to listen. Although Reimu is whining too much when you are constantly losing :). In the original game you only had Marisa and Cirno as support but now Suika also joins the party which is very good addition. Story was changed and shifted a bit in order to add some lines for Suika but in general now it is even better. There is also gallery mode where you can play each story segment without playing it again which is nice. You can also now listen BGMs in music room. If you like Touhou and Castlevania games you should try this one.

his game is a linear style 2D castlevania, not a metroidvania like the excellent Touhou Lunar Nights. When I say “castlevania” i mean it; backgrounds, stage styles (clock tower anyone?), even the pathway to “dracula’s tower” with the secret attic before it…it’s all here. I anticipated them being a little less blatent in this remaster, but that is not the case. The truly original elements are the bosses, which are bullet-hell esque with your character having a unique hitbox similar to Touhou games, which are highlights. Basic gameplay attack is a whip (surprise) with the protagonist having almost identical frames of animation to Alucard from SOTN (surprise), which again nothing has been done to mask what is essentially tracing. The levels themselves are also fairly bland in their construction, with several having multiple rooms I swear were identical to previous ones. The game’s difficulty also is inconsistent, with some bosses (Alice) being massive difficulty spikes, with the following stage being much easier. The art assets for characters and music are still highlights however, with the anime art style gorgeous in HD and the music still banging today. But to cap the negatives off, you can beat this game on easy in around 45 minutes.
