KAICHU – A KAIJU DATING SIM Free Download Unfitgirl Okay, I don’t think when I started this job, dating sims would be on the menu. Least of all, Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim. Coming from Squiddershins, this wholesome effort may be light on gameplay but delivers some cute, charming moments. The premise is real simple. You play as Gigachu, a giant dinosaur looking to find a better half. With a mate in mind, you can walk hand in hand as you smash up the world’s most famous monuments. A nice idea in practice, although a little short on time.Right off the bat, there is a lovely cosiness to Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim‘s visuals. You travel the world with your date and the map looks bright and cheery with dozens of famous landmarks to destroy. The character design is wonderful with plenty of charming touches. There’s a lot of personality here and it’s needed as Gigachu starts their quest. The narrative is often framed as news reports. Rather than a distressed populous running for their lives, the watching audience seems engaged with Gigachu’s longing for a companion. These news reports are often generously packed with puns and the smattering of voice acting does well to add to the very relaxing tone. It’s playful, doesn’t take itself too seriously and, at times, it can give insightful commentary about Gigachu’s relationships. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

There’s a three act structure in which the military inevitably gets involved. They clearly don’t approve of the wanton destruction and possibly the inter-species breeding. It culminates in a scrap with a robot third wheel who ultimately looks to block your advances towards a happy coupling. In all, each romance will probably take twenty minutes to finish but there’s six potential soulmates who each have different personality traits. So how does Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim handle it’s dating? Well, it takes a break from the traditional meter management and gift buying that other dating sims tend to trade in. Once you’ve picked your pronouns and a love interest it takes on the form of a speed date. You’re asked a series of multiple choice questions and how the other monster responds will indicate how well the date is going. These compatibility questions really let you know what makes your current flame tick and it can be satisfying to ace the exam. It’s a little barebones mechanically but the questioning does tie in neatly with the monsters’ various personality types. If they’re timid, they’ll more likely respond to middle-of-the road answers, extroverts like to be right out there. Your responses can either be considered bad, good or great. Positive answers see the landmark you’re visiting being smashed to smithereens in some quite affectionate vandalism.

Hand painted art: Hand painted backgrounds and hand animated kaiju made with love in the style of TV animation.

You’re not short on feedback from the news crew or other Kaiju. The personalities at play are pretty straight forward and it’s nice to see the game stick to a message of compatible relationships. It’s very wholesome and, whilst some of the answers seem obvious, there can be a little mystery to the dance of courtship.I find the opening act to be fairly easy. It’s an icebreaker and, like I’ve said, they’re not really trying to trick you with bipolar opposition. One answer is usually defined as great, one is good and one is outright bad. In these opening rounds, two of them is good enough to advance to the next date. You have a positive and negative meter to track. Once the former is full, you and your accomplice can wander onto the second act. Here is where deal breaker questions are introduced. The dates continue in the same format but the final question appears to take on more significance. I find whole dates will hinge on them so getting a correct answer can feel more crucial than in the first stage. It can be a little annoying to see a successful date turn on one misstep. As long as you’re paying attention, you’ll mostly avoid disaster. Alternatively, you could always rollback to a previous save. In times of crisis the game will allow you a safety save. In the third act, you’re putting together everything you’ve learned for one last stand. Mechachu arrives to break up the party but now they act as quizmaster for the conclusive act. Should you fail this, you have a second shot at redemption. Gigachu’s moment of contemplation allows you to gather advice from the other monsters. Here the traits you’re after are spelled out quite clearly, giving you something on an open goal. Whilst it does mean there’s not much challenge on offer, I don’t think the game really set out to do that. It’s more a comfy parable of how relationships should go.The gameplay element is slim with each date asking similar questions and Gigachu’s answers changing depending on who they are pursuing. It is hardly a big fault in the game given what you are trying to accomplish, which is rote memorisation of the romantic partner’s preferences.I don’t want to be too harsh on Kaichu but there was this constant nagging feeling as I courted my object of affection that the game sends the wrong message as to how dating works. The objective in each encounter is to match your responses with what the other monster wants to hear. It is not so much about finding a soul mate as melding yourself to be what the other creature wants to see and hear. This was not so much a case of a meeting of mega-hearts and more an exercise in subterfuge to get a behemoth to like me. The colours might be bright and cheery but the dating ended up feeling a little hollow as I was rewarded for, basically, lying.

Innovative Quiz Gameplay

That might be too heavy for a dating sim where a giant moth and a Godzilla bond over smashing the crap out of the Tokyo tower while fending off a military mech, though. If you switch your brain off it is a bawdy good time. The package is slight, for sure, but as a simple indie game it should entertain during its short run through.High-concept dating simulators are typically my entrypoint into the genre, whether it’s Pixel Puzzle Makeout League’s pairing with Picross or Boyfriend Dungeon’s mingling with dungeon crawling. So when a kaiju dating simulator was on the horizon for Switch, my ears perked up. Surely Kaichu, a game in which you control a kaiju trying to date another kaiju, would be eclectic and weird and silly. Unfortunately, Kaichu is repetitive and flat, with the only saving grace being the comedy of the premise and presentation. The setup is amusing, presenting two news anchors relaying the events of playable character Gigachu pairing up with another beast and going on dates destroying world monuments like the Statue of Liberty and the Great Wall of China. When you go on these dates with one of six different kaiju, all you do is answer multiple choice prompts that have a great, okay, and bad response. They’re compatibility questions where you have to answer correctly as to what the volcano kaiju’s favorite animal is or if they prefer a younger or older partner. Clues to the kaiju’s preferences can be found in the news anchor’s presentations as well as just clever application of what a giant bird might prefer. MADiSON Switch NSP

Issues abound when over the course of several dates, you start to see questions repeat and it sets in that these cute segments of question and answer—while watching two monsters smash Mount Rushmore to bits and maybe kiss at the end—are all there is to Kaichu. Everything is in the writing, which is amusing but repetitive and straightforward. Within 20 minutes of playing, I saw repeated questions. And the whole game is essentially six different sets of the same dates with different kaiju. It’s cute, but unsubstantial. It gets worse if you actually fail a romance. Flubbing questions will progress a broken heart meter that if filled, ends the game. Your option after that point? Pick up from a previous save. Go to that previous save and then, well, replay the same exact questions you likely already saw more than once already. It’s rough. To a degree, Kaichu is what it set out to be. A modest Kickstarter success, this was never pitched to be a massive, huge game. Even still, it’s not something I’d recommend to the majority of people. Unless you’re really into the idea of a kaiju dating sim that is actually just a set of trial-and-error multiple choice quizzes with nice animation, there’s no reason to take Gigachu on a world tour of destructive dates.

Visually, I find Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim pretty charming. It has a really simple style that manages to convey a cosy atmosphere. The beasts you can romance have an adorable demeanour and their responses to great answers put a smile on my face. The news team is really supportive and their little monosyllabic responses give the game a relaxed vibe. The music is equally comfy with a soundtrack that is fairly easy to listen to.It’s been a joy to look at the pastille tones and vibrant, hand-drawn artwork. The whole package just seems very charming and delivers a nice message. Whilst there’s not much gameplay to really dig into, it lets the writing do some wonderful work. It won’t really take long to see it all but the lovely, warm tone of Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Game is a wholesome thing to witness. You play as Gigachu, a reptilian kaiju that has appeared in the North Pole, ready to look for love and destroy key tourist attractions around the world. And there are plenty of kaiju to romance, six to be exact. Whether you like birds, moths, or sea serpents, you’re sure to find at least a couple of kaiju that suit your fancy as you hop aboard the train of love. However, if there’s one thing that kaiju aren’t known for, it’s speaking a language that humans can understand. That’s where news anchors Brevity Ormes and Lucky Cole come in, giving a play-by-play of each date that you go on.

The game opens up with you on a map of the world, with several landmarks available to visit, as well as six kaiju to romance. You can choose any of these kaiju to romance and once you do, the world is your oyster (literally). From there, you can choose to go to one of 24 different landmarks to learn more about your date and hopefully grow closer to them.Dates take the form of personality quizzes, akin to what you’d see online. You have three responses that you can choose from for every question: thumbs up, neutral, or thumbs down. Sometimes, questions will give you a set of choices to choose from and you have to choose which option you agree with. No matter the question, your kaiju date will respond in kind with either a positive, neutral, or negative response. If you receive a positive or neutral response, the both of you will proceed to attack the landmark in front of you. But if you receive a negative response, shame will descend and there’s a moment of awkwardness where neither of you attack.

That’s right, Kaichu – The Kaiju Dating Sim is a game in which a huge radioactive dinosaur named Gigachu is found travelling around the world, trying to find a mate. Despite kaiju being in relatively short supply, there are six destructive beasts spread out across the globe and you need to pick one of them for Gigachu. You’re going to take the lucky kaiju out on dates to some of the most well known locations, hoping that they turn out to be the perfect soulmate.Even though your options are limited, the variety in the kaiju available is pretty good in terms of design. To give a few examples, there’s the three-headed sea creature, Seadora, who’s actual royalty; Garudan the muscle-bound bird; and the colourful plant and butterfly hybrid type Mossra – not to be confused with Mothra, a mighty famous kaiju. The visual representation of these really sets the tone, with the would-be monsters looking quite adorable. Kaichu – The Kaiju Dating Sim is going for that kids cartoon vibe and it’s charming to see such cute creations conjured up. Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness Switch NSP
