Hellmut The Badass from Hell Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl The portable nature of the Nintendo Switch makes it a good fit for roguelikes. Even on a good run, you won’t spend too much time on a stage or boss fight, and short bursts of gameplay fit the genre well. There are a good number of roguelikes on the system, but only a small handful of them use shooting instead of swordplay as the main mechanic. The current top dog on that short list is Enter the Gungeon. Hellmut: The Badass from Hell is a new game that’s trying to gun for that throne, and while it doesn’t defeat the king, it makes a good attempt. The premise immediately tells you that the game doesn’t take itself too seriously. A mad scientist has opened the gate to hell to summon a demon that can grant him eternal life. As one would expect, the demon gives him infinite lives, wrecks his lab, and reduces the scientist to a skull with a spinal cord. Sensing an opportunity for amusement, another demon comes through the portal to help the floating skull get some revenge. As alluded to earlier, Hellmut is a twin-stick roguelike shooter. You have roughly 12 procedurally generated rooms to go through, blowing up enemies until you reach the exit and either repeat the process or go up against a randomly selected boss. As you kill baddies, you can find some new guns, but most of your pick-ups consist of currency. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

You can spend it in stores that are available on each floor to get more guns for your arsenal or other things, like an increased wallet, health pick-ups, or a magnet to immediately attract currency to you. Interestingly, the game gives you an opportunity to earn more coins in the store if you play the Space Invaders-type arcade machine. While there’s nothing special about the guns you can pick up or buy, the game offers a very interesting hook. At the beginning of Hellmut, you can select the body you’ll occupy: a giant rat cosplaying as Rambo or a Frankenstein’s monster. Choosing between the two is more than just aesthetics, as they both have different default guns, secondary moves, and health meters. Getting either one killed puts you back in the hopping skull mode, which is still formidable but not the position you want to be in, since death means restarting the run. Collect enough gems, and you can summon the demon that is helping you get your revenge, and completing his timed kill challenges means getting the opportunity to don a new suit. While there aren’t too many suits to claim, their new powers and randomization keep the journey fresh, since obtaining suits feels like getting a new gun or weapon. Even if you look at the body-swapping mechanic as another interpretation of extra lives, the game still brings about some enjoyment thanks to the almost non-stop action.

Nice carnage

Every room fills up with enemies rather quickly, and since some rooms immediately activate barriers until you can shut them down, you’ll often be forced to blast everything just to get some breathing room. The bullet hell influence is here, and even if it doesn’t mean that the screen is filled with ridiculous bullet patterns, you still need spatial awareness, since you lack a dodge move. Hallways are the only safe zones aside from stores, but those are short enough that breaks in the action don’t feel too long. In short, the game delivers on the shooting part rather well. There are two major issues that prevent Hellmut from being one of the best roguelike shooters. The first has to do with the camera, which is surprising since the top-down viewpoint shouldn’t be the source of any issues. However, the level of zoom is enough to make the characters sizeable while also obscuring parts of the rooms. The camera also moves toward wherever you point your gun, which also happens in titles like Enter the Gungeon. When combined with the zoom, though, it makes you forget about enemies until they surprise you with a shot. The second issue has to do with unlocking new bodies to occupy. The system in place is quite brilliant, as you’re forced to rely on fast reflexes, but you actually need to beat the game to unlock a new body. There aren’t that many bodies to unlock, so you won’t need that many successful runs to unlock them all. Dead By Daylight

If you tire of getting in multiple runs for the campaign, Hellmut offers a few alternative modes. Gauntlet mode is essentially survival mode, but you have a friend in tow, which always increases the fun factor. There’s also a tournament mode, which makes things competitive yet fair, as everyone is competing to see who gets the best run through the game, eliminating the randomization in the process. Compared to other roguelikes, these are some good modes that should also pop up in other titles. The presentation is quite good. The pixel look is decidedly retro but pleasant-looking, especially once the bullets start flying and the screen holds up with everything happening on-screen, from the multitude of enemies to the persistent gore and flying body parts. Everything animates well, including the debris that you can fling around. The sound effects are meaty, and the music is also well done. One nice touch is that you can choose a modern soundtrack filled with chiptunes, or a blend of both, which makes for a pleasing sonic signature. Hellmut: The Badass from Hell is a few steps short of being an all-around must-have roguelike shooter. The camera is zoomed in enough and just jerky enough that some enemies can be easily hidden from view. There’s also the character unlocking process, which is only valuable if you plan on taking multiple successful runs through the game.

Enter the Dungeon

With that said, the action is excellent, and the flaws aren’t enough to stop the title from having that sort of magic that beckons you for one more run. Despite not being the first choice for a roguelike shooter, Hellmut is ultimately a good choice. The story is presented in the extremely entertaining intro. The hero summons a demon to become immortal, but loses his entire body except for his head and is also responsible for a demon invasion. Luckily, he gains the ability to mutate into different monsters, which is the core mechanic. At the start of each procedurally generated run, the player can choose one of two mutations and use them to kill numerous enemies. They all have a normal and a special attack. Both are varied enough to influence the flow of the game. In addition, weapons can be picked up, but otherwise the variety actually consists solely of the different forms. With these, it is extremely fun to fight against the various enemies. There are tons of these, and given the size of the mutations, they’re surprisingly difficult to dodge. But that is exactly what is necessary, because when the life bar empties, you turn back into a weak head that hardly has a chance in the later levels. Therefore, the player must collect crystals to finally face a challenge, at the end of which there is a new mutation as a reward. Dead by Daylight PS5

That’s exactly how Hellmut: The Badass from Hell goes. You shoot everything that moves and try new mutations. You can even switch between them at any time, but this is cumbersome due to the controls. Doing this in the middle of a fight therefore proves to be an unnecessary danger, although the concept would actually be entertaining. Unfortunately, the process turns out to be very poor in variety. You walk through the rooms, shoot around and sometimes defeat a boss. Once you get the mechanics down, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting to the end. Unfortunately, there are no particularly interestingly designed rooms or levels, nor are there any puzzles or items to be unlocked. Instead, the money can be exchanged for weapons or other tools in the shop, which is not very motivating. On the one hand, the solid combat system is made more exciting by the mutations, but on the other hand, it is clouded by the simple process and the simple-minded level design. This quickly dwindles interest, and despite being randomly generated, the levels don’t exactly look unique. Aside from the main game, there is also a Gauntlet mode, but its pace is significantly slower, as it takes time for multiple enemies to attack at the same time on the screen. Otherwise, the game includes a tournament mode in which the levels are not generated randomly, since high scores are played for.

Lack of variety

Unfortunately, that’s about all the title has to offer. Especially since there is a lack of game goals apart from reaching the end, the motivation dwindles far too quickly. Roguelikes thrive on various forms of progression, which unfortunately aren’t offered here. On the other hand, the game is visually well done, because the pixel style proves to be detailed and loving. Every creature is just as beautifully designed as the mutations, and the frame rate is never taxed either. Surprisingly, the soundtrack isn’t exactly interesting and wants to convince with loud rather than atmospheric tones. Welcome to the world of Hellmut. Here we have a rogue-like shooter with an interesting transform mechanic. You play as multiple mutations each with their own unique weapons as you plough through multiple locates to take on the evil Hellmut – someone who has destroyed your lab and turned you into a floating undead skull! It’s safe to say it is not your day, nor the enemies as you shoot, crush and get your revenge on all who stand in your way! The audio in Hellmut is not what I expected at all. I had imagined a punk-rock soundtrack, especially with the games name being Hellmut: The badass from hell. Surprisingly, the music is pretty laid back considering your blowing ten tons of sh….. blood out of anything that moves. Dead Cells

For the most part, all you’ll be hearing is your gun firing, blood splattering, and the many screams and moans of dying enemies! On that front, it all sounds great. Visually, Hellmut is bright and crisp with its neon colours – everything pops off the screen. The environments are nothing too spectacular to look at, with repetitive room layouts that are pretty dark: there’s not a lot of detail or points of interest to look at. The enemy design is varied though, and each boss is well-animated. However, after you’ve seen one hell hound you’ve seen them all. Each of the unique characters you get to play as look pretty cool too… but I feel they should have been a little more crazy with the character designs. I mean an orc fairy… rat… brain in robot suit… its nothing that creative and has been seen in hundreds of titles before… but they do the job. The gameplay in Hellmut sees you starting in a small lab with multiple test tubes located around the area, and your starter form will be a floating skull. You’re pretty weak in this form, but you are still able to fire a main scattershot and secondary beam ability with the triggers on the back of joy-cons or a pro controller. You have 360 degrees of aiming with the right stick, which is excellent. Playing as your weaker self won’t cut it here, and you’ll need to use one of your many transformations to cause some severe damage.

When you begin, you have the choice between two forms: the abomination or rat king. Each form has its own health bar, and once it’s depleted, that form will die for that current run unless you earn or buy a resurrect stone at the shop. Otherwise, you’ll be returned to your original floating skull form. Thankfully, your other forms have their own unique main, secondary abilities that prove pretty useful and powerful in combat. You can also find a shop portal located in each level where you purchase new guns with limited ammo or health packs. Other useful items help you run quicker or use different types of ammo. Gold coins can be found scattered throughout each level or within chests or even drop from fallen enemies. The only other currency is souls that appear once an enemy has been put down. These come in two varieties: blue and pink. They can be used in each level to unlock transformation challenges. There is a book located in each level that requires a sacrifice of a certain number of souls to activate. Once it’s active, you are set a challenge within a strict time limit. If you manage to complete it, you’ll be rewarded with a new form to transform into at any time. This can be done by pressing the X button and using the analogue stick to select a new form. Remembering each form has their own health pool, cycling between them during play is advised as some characters have better weapons than others.
