Hell Pie Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl One of the easiest ways to ensure I enjoy a game is to make getting around fun. It doesn’t matter if I’m leaping from one building to another in an open world game like Crackdown or finding the best strategic placement for my Worm with a Ninja Rope, as long as getting from A-to-B is fun I’m a happy camper. By adding a grappling hook to a 3D collectathon platformer, the developers of Hell Pie have pretty much made my year. Our hero (and I’m using that term very loosely) Nate doesn’t get a lot of respect down in hell. He’s the demon in charge of the eighth deadly sin – bad taste, and doesn’t seem to have a whole lot of responsibilities down at Sin Inc. When Satan personally asks him to arrange to have a pie made for his upcoming birthday party, Nate is assigned a tubby little cherub called Nugget and sent up to Earth to gather ingredients. Once you arrive on Earth via a long ride in a lift, you’re greeted by a bright sprawling hub area full of collectibles, sub-levels and charming locals. There you’ll get to test out Nate’s wonderful powers. Like most platforming protagonists he can jump, double jump and do little dash, but with the help of his baby Donald Trump lookalike sidekick his manoeuvrability becomes much more interesting. By using Nugget as a sort of mid air anchor point, Nate can swing from the chain that attaches the duo and grapple his way to all sorts of locations. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

It’s a simple enough concept but when you spot a collectable at the other side of an impossible looking gap and nail the perfect combination of swings and dashes to reach it, it’s just magical. Your main objective in Hell Pie is to gather enough ingredients for your baking quest, but fans of shiny shit will have plenty to keep them busy. Each hub area and sub stage has a list of collectibles to find, from tins of Candymeat to golden lucky cats. Hidden in hard to reach places it’ll take all your baby swinging prowess to get them all, but you’ll be rewarded for doing so with all sorts of new powers. The tins are the most important of all the collectables, because they’ll enable you to upgrade Nate and Nuggets powers in their skill tree. By default you can only swing from your cherub ally once before landing on solid ground, but once you’re fully upgraded you’ll be able to swing five times in combination with all sorts of aerial manoeuvres to practically fly around any environment. It’s such a joyous experience, and although it sometimes trivialises the difficulty you’ll be having too much fun to care. Other important unlockables include horn upgrades you get by finding sheep to sacrifice at altars. By tearing enough horns off their adorable faces (which is as horrendous as it sounds) you’ll be given a new power to help you on your quest.

Hubs, collectables, and special abilities

Your initial horns can guide you to places of interest in a hub world, but before long you’ll have horns that let you sprint at super speed, horns that smash down walls, and even glowing horns to help you in dark places. Most of these abilities are pretty helpful, but by the end of the game when you can grapple almost anywhere without breaking a sweat the late game abilities you unlock are pretty underwhelming. As you might have guessed from the animal dismemberment, Hell Pie is a very crude game. The humour feels very reminiscent of early flash animation on the internet, with plenty of poo jokes, intense gore and gross out humour. You probably already know if you’ll appreciate this or not, but I personally found it quite refreshing in a world full of super serious emotional games to play a video game where I could swing a fat baby at Nazi pieces of actual faeces. Just because it’s crude doesn’t mean Hell Pie isn’t packed full of ideas. Each more linear sub-level has a theme, and every single one of them is so creative. There’s a psychedelic drug fueled stage that sees you fighting off addict lizards to help a drug lord take his mansion back. Another stage is set inside a whale, which contains a community of people hacking at its innards to make delicious sushi. No two levels are alike, and the imagination on display honestly reminded me of the Psychonauts games (albeit filtered through the mind of a 14 year old boy trying to gross out his friends). Although I absolutely adored my time with Hell Pie, it isn’t without faults. Some of the collectibles are tiny, and even on PS5 I struggled to spot them until I was practically on top of them. Also by halfway through the 8-12 hour game I’d also unlocked all the abilities I wanted from the skill tree, and it meant that finding collectibles was a little less satisfying (and much less necessary). Hell Pie is a joyous experience for 3D platformer fans, with movement that simply can’t be matched by its peers. It will be easy for some to look down on its toilet humour and collectathon gameplay, but Hell Pie knows what it is and I’m very glad it exists. One of the greatest elements of Hell Pie is its ridiculous story. Never before have I felt sorry for a demon. However, there is always a first, and our protagonist deserves some sympathy for the way he is treated. You control Nate, the “Demon of Bad Taste”. His role is belittled as bad taste and crude jokes are expected in the sinning capital of all existence. As such, his responsibilities are non-existent and the Devil decides to give him an important task. Nate must scour the overworld to find disgusting ingredients for Satan’s birthday cake. This adventure spans many levels and is thwarted by danger. Yet, with the help of a sidekick and an array of special skills, he will overcome many obstacles and complete his task en route.

Excellent controls

You’ll encounter mini-games, massive chasms, collectables, and much, much more. You must use your skills and reactions to avoid every trap and complete every stage. Platforming games tend to be vast and full of collectables. Accordingly, the number of things to do can become overwhelming. Fortunately, though, this issue is overcome by the introduction of central hubs. Subsequently, each level is accessed using the lifts located in the bowels of hell. You’ll use these to explore a range of vivid and interesting stages while hunting for those precious ingredients. Alongside this is a helpful list of collectables that keep track of your progress. This is awesome for completionists as the action never gets out of hand. What I particularly enjoyed was the drip-fed mechanics that expanded Nate’s repertoire of skills. Alongside his ungodly powers, he is armed with a cherub sidekick called Nugget. This chunky and hideous fallen cherub expands our hero’s ability to jump, attack, and explore. However, to make the most of the situation, you must gather an array of collectables. Each stage has unique items that will grant new horns with enhanced abilities. Alongside this, there are tins of meat that are used to improve Nate’s and Nuggets’ skill tree. By enhancing their powers, you’ll be able to soar around each level without a care in the world. This was beyond ridiculous, but I couldn’t help but love it. After all, what’s not to love about a truly stupid mechanic and a flying demon? The aforementioned horn upgrade is a prime example of the gruesome nature of Hell Pie. By ripping the horns off of a hapless sheep, you’ll gain new strengths. This cinematic was as gross and horrific as you can imagine. In fact, its gory nature will make you wince and giggle in equal measure. This shocking approach is seen across many levels as violence and gory undertones set the scene. Worry not, though, as it isn’t GTA levels of violence. No, instead, it is the hellish high jinx that helps to set the tone. Talking of tone, the audio is blunt but energetic. With crude cinematic and often cutting dialogue, it may touch a nerve. However, I loved its guttural style and immature ways. This is further captured by the strange noise that emits from the hero and his sidekick. All in all, it’s a loud and amusing experience that matches the bright and gruesome theme. With a high degree of precision and some tight spaces to traverse, Hell Pie needed accurate controls. Luckily, this is exactly what you get thanks to the responsive inputs and excellent layout. Furthermore, new mechanics are brilliantly explained. The incorporation of fun yet challenging mini-games explains how new skills work without being overbearing.

Become a demon

With so many collectables on offer, ingredients to gather, and skills to learn, there is plenty of longevity and replay value. Of course, the enjoyment factor is dependent on your love of shiny things and, if you are determined to find them all. Yet, I don’t know a platforming fan who dislikes this element. Subsequently, Hell Pie will tick many boxes for hardcore fans. Hell Pie is rude, immature, but oh so glorious. If you are a little childish but enjoy a challenge, Hell Pie will be right up your street. Its crude plot and silly gameplay will tickle that immature part of your brain. What’s more, its array of skills and collectables keeps the action fresh throughout. It’s for these reasons that I recommend you to buy it here! Can you become useful and do the Devil’s bidding? Each large hub world contains a few ingredients, along with several more linear stages which generally reward you with an ingredient at their conclusion. Collect enough ingredients and you’ll be granted access to the next world. Along the way you’ll also find cans of food for Nugget that allow you to upgrade him with new abilities, expanding your movement repertoire. Nate can also unlock new demon horns which grant him different abilities such as a sprint and a chargeable head bash. Levels are heavily focused on navigating over death pits by swinging from small platform to small platform. Combat does occasionally crop up, but most enemies only take one hit to kill, and are rarely much of a threat. The Switch version of Hell Pie leaves a lot to be desired. To start, image quality is poor, with a pass of temporal anti-aliasing over a very low resolution image resulting in constant ghosting and other artifacts. The frame rate regularly falls below its target of 30 frames-per-second and can at times become debilitatingly poor, especially in later levels. We’re not just talking slight dips, frame rates often felt like they were running in the single digits. Restarting the game did not seem to have a noticeable effect. In multiple instances I clipped through a wall or fell right through the ground.

Some times I was able to get back out, but most required me to reload from my most recent checkpoint. Finally, I also encountered issues with the game crashing entirely, sending me back to the Switch home menu. Hell Pie is that most difficult type of Switch game to review. On a pure design level I believe Hell Pie is one of the best 3D platformers I’ve played in quite a while. Its understanding of ever expanding options for movement and traversal highlight a deep grasp of the genre. Its levels are varied, yet consistently make use of all of Hell Pie’s best mechanics. Unfortunately, the Switch version fails miserably when it comes to delivering that gameplay to the player. It says a lot about the quality of the underlying game design that I kept coming back despite regularly running into issues. I’d love to speak more positively about Hell Pie, and I may very well wind up picking it up on another platform, but the compromises on Switch are going to be too much for most players. I sincerely hope this port can be salvaged through updates because I firmly believe Hell Pie is a very good game, and this version just doesn’t do it justice.
