Guts And Goals Free Download Unfitgirl Despite really not liking sports in almost any form, there’s a strange allure to arcade-style takes such as Guts ’N Goals. I guess it’s the far less serious approach and over the top action, and both of those statements are accurate when talking about GNG. Mixing football – or soccer – with melee combat, zombies, Pong, hockey, and more, it’s a fun game to unwind with of an evening. Starting out there’s not much to choose from. A very short and sharp Grand Prix mode is all we really get. This lets us get used to the basics nicely while still providing some immediate fun. The base concept here is a game of football, with players hitting the ball – and other players – with bats rather than kicking as they run around the pitch. First to 2 goals wins, and it’s about as fast and frantic as you’d expect. A hit of the ball sees it go a short distance, while a charged shot will go further at the expense of the second or two it takes to charge. Each hit also sends the ball in a volley of sorts so it’s possible to lob other players. Likewise, a standard hit will take off one of the opposing teams players energy blocks while a charged hit will take two. By default each player has six to their name, and once all are gone they’re out for three seconds before getting up and carrying on. This mix of combat and sport proves to be a good laugh as inevitably teams bundle towards the ball, bats swinging, and carnage ensues. Matches are three minutes a piece, though in reality they very rarely last that long thanks to the speed and a not-insignificant amount of luck. It’s fully possible to complete a match within ten seconds should we have a lucky hit or kick-off, and I found that most of my games were over well within the first minute one way or another.Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Should it threaten to go the distance, a random mutator is introduced for the last 60 seconds. This can range from having our KO time extending, to removing them altogether, increasing player speed, or a whole host of other effects. New ones are unlocked with each run of the Career as well as purchasable in the item shop (no MTX here though) or unlocked via playing optional minigames. Again, I very rarely saw many of these in action, but it helps spice up what is already a cavalcade of action to begin with.GNG doesn’t stop there though. As well as the soccer matches there are mini games – where we need to traverse a course to score a goal – and mutator matches. These add in a lot of variety, bringing as they do things like zombies or king of the hill rules, to name just two. Often, the two goal requirement is lifted in favour of high score chasing, first to 99 wins. So it’s a case of bashing opponents, enemies, or even stationary targets to get that number up first within the time limit. There’s a lot of content in GNG to unlock, from dozens of characters to skins, maps, weapons, and modes. One of the latter is MVP Hunter, a roguelike addition that tasks players with working their way through a series of challenges to get to a final boss. These take on not only various forms of the above modes, but also simple choices, like whether to attack an enemy from behind or speak to a stranger. It’s a fun, unexpected addition to the game, and is far more fleshed out than the simplistic career. The MVP Hunter and Grand Prix mode can only be played solo, but the multiplayer side of the game game supports up to six players. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to test this out yet as, well…you know… but later online play is promised to come to console so that’ll be a blast no doubt. As it is, the AI do a pretty solid job of both being fun to play against as well as with.

Guts ‘N Goals Different ways to play.

There’s a definite delay to some of their inputs to give players a chance to catch up, but on the whole it’s fun enough. It’s not without fault mind. Some of the mutator matches and MVP Hunter rounds can feel incredibly unfair. Most often these are the ones where we’re in a handicap match, and having four capable AI against just us or us and one partner almost deflates some of the air of the gameplay at times. One mode in particular stood out; each team takes turns to have one player designated ‘it’, with them turning into a defenceless chicken. This only last around fifteen seconds or so before switching to the other team, but when we’re playing as the chicken we don’t seem to get any sort of speed boost or help. One round saw me versus four AI, and when it came my teams turn to be chicken well…I was the only one. This meant that for each fifteen second stint not only could I not outrun the AI thanks to them being laser focused on me, but I also couldn’t score any points of my own, and when it was my turn I was roundly beaten down immediately by the three non-chickens also meaning I couldn’t score. This aspect bleeds over into other modes at times, albeit not often enough to sour the experience fully. It can also be hard to keep track of things on some stages where environmental elements obscure our view but not the AI’s. Naturally grabbing other fleshy opponents would mitigate this somewhat but until online play is included these aspects could prove to sour an otherwise fun, arcade experience. Let’s start with the only thing that will be shown on your screen when you start playing the first time: Grand Prix. Within this single-player campaign, there are plenty of game modes available for you to play, IF you unlock them, of course! The Grand Prix consists of simple matches and all kinds of other minigames in-between those.Rogue Lords

The soccer matches are fairly simple: be the first team to score two goals in three minutes, and you win. The minigames are usually a bit more ‘complex’, as you’ll be tasked with getting a football to the other side of the field, and into the goal of the rival team (of course, the field is filled with a bunch of orange cones through which you’ll have to find your way). Another example of a minigame is called zombie panic. Here, you have to eliminate as many zombies as possible. The team that killed the most zombies in a given time, wins. The Grand Prix can be played in multiple difficulty levels, and yes, I had to start at the very bottom because well, I suck at sports. There’s also a versus mode if you want to play against friends, and if you want to play online, that’s possible too!  As if the gameplay wasn’t challenging enough already, Guts ‘N Goals introduces some mechanics to keep you even more on your toes. The biggest one being mutators that appear in the last 60 seconds of a match. You’ll get a warning that a random mutator will disturb your game, and these can take many forms. Ranging from your KO time being extended to no longer losing any stamina. Along the way, you’ll unlock (or buy) more mutators. Besides this, the stadia you play in have their own challenges. While one stadium might look very normal, another one will have rivers or be a lava land, making the entire match extra difficult. Again, more and more stadia will unlock after you complete certain tasks, or win, for example, a specific minigame. Mixing up the stadia was really fun to keep the gameplay fresh and new.  Guts ‘N Goals starts pretty basic with a pretty scarce screen that just has the Grand Prix mode and the options on it. In order to unlock more playable modes, you’ll have to play the game.

Keeping you on your toes.

I’m not entirely convinced by this method, but I do have to admit that it keeps you coming back to the game so you unlock everything on the home screen. Whether you want to play Grand Prix, or replay challenges, you’ll definitely have something on your hands. Besides unlocking various modes, you can also discover over 30 characters (with special abilities), but also weapons, skins, stadia, etc.  The way Guts ‘N Goals looks is pretty decent. The different looks for the stadia are great, but its the characters that really jump out. Since there are over 30 unique characters to unlock, there’s a bunch of cool artwork to admire here. Whether you play as an old grandma called Aunt Gladis, an adorable advocado, or a shark-like creatures that dreams of being a captain, everything just looks amazing. We also get a vibrant soundtrack that is perfectly in tune with the already hectic gameplay. Guts ‘N Goals has an extremely simple concept, two teams battling it out and scoring goals. Obviously, the winner is the team with the most goals. Well, this is usually the case anyway. However, the devs have also added loads of mini-games to bring you an action-packed top-down pixel art football beat ’em up like no other. Let us start with campaign mode, as with most titles this is single-player and you have the option of various difficulties. I started out in an amateur mode, but soon realised I was definitely a beginner! So easy mode it was. Despite there being a tutorial on load, it is an extremely fast-paced game so a lot of practice is required. The mechanics are quite simple, movement, attack, special attack, and shoot. Each character within the game has different special attacks, so ensure you choose the right one for you. A number of games and challenges make up the campaign mode. These games can vary from 1v1 to 3v3. Some of them are time-based and some are score-based.Chorus

Keep an eye out for this as it caught me out multiple times. The challenges vary from paintball mode, where the ball is a paintball and coats the arena. There are even king of the hill modes and skill matches whereby you need to kick the ball through a maze of cones. This sounds easy but the ricochet on them cones in UNREAL! Each time you win a challenge or game you qualify for the next match until you reach the end game and reign supreme fouler! Within the above mode, there are also unlockables, these range from new characters and skills to arenas. The game has so much to unlock, multiple playthroughs are required. I can guarantee you will have fun doing it. As mentioned above, when you do unlock new characters make sure you try them as you might just find that the ones you unlock work better with your playstyle. As well as the above there are also multiplayer options. So firstly you have the ability to play online whether that be with friends or randomers. However, there is also the ability to play co-op. Unfortunately, my son is too young for this game at the minute so I had to stick with online and campaign. Even so, despite the game been quite simple overall, there is so much to go at. When it comes to the graphics on Guts ‘N Goals they remind me of a polished modern version of Nintendo World Cup. The pixel art assets really lend themselves to the fun gameplay on offer. I sometimes get eye strain when playing pixel art titles if the art hasn’t been done correctly. However, with this title, I had no issues whatsoever. When it comes to audio the word that comes to mind is manic! The game is so fast-paced it would of been wrong to put a relaxing soundtrack to it.

There are no penalty cards.

Instead, there is an upbeat electronic arcade-style soundtrack. It has fast BPM and electronic samples booming as you try so hard to get the ball in the back of the net. Fast-paced matches suck you in very easily thanks to the soundtrack. Guts ‘N Goals is a title that you can spend an indefinite amount of time on. I would compare it to the likes of Rocket League. You can jump on and just have some quick matches or campaign matches solo. Alternatively, you could jump on with friends or play online. There is a ton of content to unlock, enough to satisfy the completionist in just about anyone. From characters to arenas there is a lot to discover as a new player. On top of this, there are also different difficulties available, although I do advise starting out with a beginner. It is possible I was just awful at the game but even beginner was a struggle sometimes. I really enjoyed the challenge and could see myself improving as well. Sometimes it’s about getting the opponent on the floor rather than scoring a goal. I had a silly amount of fun on Guts ‘N Goals, it is an all-around laugh. I also have to admit that was when I was playing it by myself. With friends, it would have been hilariously manic and I imagine quite competitive. Other than the fact it is extremely hard on any mode other than a beginner to start out with and the team colours can be difficult to see (I am colourblind). However, there are some accessibility options available. Guts And Goals is a super fun arcade game that combines soccer with a beat’em up. The game play is fluid and feels nice to both hit the ball with your bat as well as other players!

Did I mention you have a bat? Yea, no kicking the soccer ball, whack it with a bat and watch it fly! Game Play: So, to do a quick summary of the game, you use a bat to try and hit a ball into the opposing team’s goal while they try to do the same to you. Pretty straightforward. The main gimmick of this game is the ability to knock out players by hitting them with your bat. Learning when to strike and when to pull back is a main part of the game play. Striking players with your bat will lower their Stamina/HP and when this reaches zero they are knocked out for a few seconds, netting your team an advantage on the field. Knocking out the entire opposing team just about guarantees a goal, so make sure this does not happen to you and your team. You can charge your bat by clicking and holding the left mouse button. Charged Attacks send the ball much further than normal as well as do more damage to players when struck. I’ve found from the several matches I’ve played that it is generally a good idea to always have a charged attack ready, unless you need to quickly try and hit the ball away or strike back at an overly-aggressive opponent. The other time you don’t want to hold a charge attack is when you want to use your character’s skill, which can do a number of things from throwing out three cats with bats, to using a lasso and dragging a player around the field. Each character has their own unique skill that can be used with the right mouse button. Skills add an extra layer of strategy to help score goals or defend yours, but have a cooldown once used so you can’t spam them. At the one minute mark, a Mutator will happen, an event that alters the game in some way, such as players not being able to be KO’d, the ball itself instantly KO’ing anyone it touches, etc.

The above basically covers what the game is at its core. There are other modes besides the main soccer mode such as a zombie slaying mode, a ping-pong mode, etc. The game hosts a singleplayer Grand Prix mode where you will progress through stages, playing soccer matches as well as alternate modes like the ones I just mentioned. There is an online mode as well, where you can play with others over the internet. You can also create and join lobbies to play private matches with friends. And speaking of the private lobbies… this is where I have some issues with the game. Now granted, the game just came out as I am writing this review, so things could be updated, and I hope they will! But on to the things I don’t like about the private lobbies This seems to be a big oversight in my opinion. Unless I just didn’t see how to do it, there was no way to place me or my friends on teams, the game seems to do this randomly. Random teams is fine and all, but I think any party game like this should have the feature that the host can place player’s on teams themselves. I think this is the biggest problem the game has at the moment. Again, another odd thing to see. The stadiums from what I have seen, seem to have unique properties to them. It would be nice to be able to choose what stadium to play on before a match begins. Not as important as my first point, but yea, still would be nice to have. This is the least important out of all my complaints. But I think it would be really neat if one could customize the rules of the game. Basic things such as setting the time limit, score limit, and more advanced things like setting up how many mutators are on at the start of the match, mutators that get added on intervals instead of just one at the 1 minute mark of the match, etc. Not completely necessary, but would add a lot of replay value and allow people to make some fun, custom game modes.Wings of Bluestar Switch NSP
