Brotato Free Download Unfitgirl Brotato is my new favourite roguelike. It’s the best of three twin stick shooter styled roguelikes I picked up recently by far and has placed itself into my favourite games of 2022. The key to Brotato is the absolutely massive amount of options available to the player to build a character over short 25-30 minute runs. It’s the perfect short and sharp roguelike and I’m enamoured. Each Brotato has different stats and there’s well over 20 to unlock (and the game is in early access so expect more to come). You are dropped into a square arena and you’ll be asked to survive 20 waves of enemies that last from 15 to 90 seconds each. You can turn on auto shoot and just focus on avoiding enemies and indeed there are other tweaks to your difficulty curve and enemies too but as you collect the green dollops of gunge that acts as currency for your shopping sprees and XP to level up your character, its oddly the parts between waves of shooting that engrossed me most. Your Brotato has a lot of stats and there are all important. Health, and replenishment from stealing enemy life or health regen are important but focusing on health obviously means less chance to improve damage. You have melee, ranged and elemental damage alongside your base damage and often improving one area reduces your power in another. Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Increase attack speed and that’ll often reduce down something else like your range of attack. Armor and dodge alongside actual Brotato movement speed means you can build out your character to be fast and slippery. Harvesting and Engineering can help you collect more cash for upgrades of trees for upgrade drops. All of these stats you can see move around every time you level up, unlock a perk or buy an item, passive ability or weapon. It’s not just you that upgrades. Your weapon load out does too. Most Brotato’s can have six weapons and each weapon will have various stats, bonuses and draw backs. As your shop is randomised you’ll choose what to buy with what you’ve been given or reroll at a cost for four more options. Two level 1 shotguns can be bought and combined to produce a level 2 shotgun. Of course, this momentarily takes up 2 weapon slots so you are always balancing how to upgrade something verses being full loaded. As weapons are upgraded they aren’t only more powerful but their bonuses become more powerful too. Some might add extra fire damage, additional luck, more XP gain or additional turrets. You also have a plethora of items that add mages, turrets, exploding sausages and machinebots to help you out too. Then you can buy other items that boost or change your stats or shop capability.

Accessibility options: tweak the health, damage and speed of enemies so the difficulty is right for you

It’s odd that I’ve spent so much of this review talking about the shop and upgrade system but its honestly Brotato’s strength. The twin stick shooting works well and plays simply and easily. Without the full suite of options for upgrading and trying out different set ups and loadouts, it would be a pure 7/10 game. It’s so infinitely replayable and the more you play, the more gets unlocked. A lot of people will say Vampire Survivors is the ultimate twin stick styled roguelike. I’m one of the developers of Godot Engine, the game engine used by Brotato, which is how I first heard of the game. But I’m also a fan of indie games and I’ve been playing Brotato for my own enjoyment, so my review is from a player’s perspective. I LOVE IT. It’s just so much fun. I’ve played a bit of Vampire Survivors, the game which seemed to (re)start the craze around this kind of arcade action games now dubbed “horde shooters” or “reverse bullet hell games”. Brotato seems heavily inspired from this genre, but refines it a TON on all aspects: graphics, sound design, gameplay variety and replayability. I’ve played it over 15 hours in just a week and I’m itching to play more. My favorite feature is the insane variety that you’ll find in what kind of build you can play. Like most such games, you start with a basic set of stats which you can influence (both positively and negatively) with level-up upgrades (e.g. +5% damage, +3% speed, etc.), and weapons and passive items that you buy between runs with the collected materials. You can equip up to 6 weapons (aside from a couple exceptions) and combine them in ways that make sense for the build you’re going for, and the items you buy or acquire influence your stats passively.

Collect materials to gain experience and get items from the shop between waves of enemies

There’s a significant impact of randomness here, but it’s well designed – the game learns from your start weapon, and the items and weapons you acquire early on, and tends to pick random purchase options that make sense to develop you build. E.g. if you start with a “medical” weapon, you’ll be proposed more medical weapons early on (and also other types, but your starting one – or the type of other weapons you’ll acquire – weighs more in the balance and helps you focus on one or more types if you want).Then what makes the game absolutely amazing to me is the variety found in the characters. Each character that you can choose has a set of bonuses and penalties that affect the base stats, and guide your build heavily in some direction.Some examples: Crazy, +100 Range with Precise weapons (knives, etc.), +25% Attack Speed, starts with an extra Knife, -30% Dodge, -10 Engineering, -10 Ranged Damage. You can imagine what kind of build is favored: stack fast Precise weapons with high critical chance like knives, and carve your way through the waves while making sure not to get hit, as you definitely won’t dodge. You’ll probably want some Life Steal 🙂 One-Armed: +200% Attack Speed, All Damage modifications are increased by 100%, you can only equip ONE weapon at a time. So you’re super fast to hit, you can make a build that will reach insane amounts of damage per second, but you’ll be limited to a single weapon. Lost Judgment 

Masochist: In short, starts with -100% damage (does only 1 damage per hit), but gets +5% damage whenever they get hit… so after 20 hits you’re at +0% damage modifier, and everything after that is pure damage increase goodness. So you have to balance hurling yourselves on enemies to get hit but without reaching 0 HP – and your base stats help you with that thanks to +10 Max HP, +3 Armor and +25% HP Regeneration.That should give a hint of what’s possible – the game (as of Early Access in Oct 2022) has a whopping 30 characters, all very different from each other and leading to very varied builds (you start with maybe 6 characters and unlock the rest while winning on various levels of difficulty with various characters).Great game but could use some accessibility options/features like colorblind mode. I find it annoying that my runs keep getting ended by enemies that shoot barely visible projectiles. Inspired by Vampire Survivors, but with its own twists on the formula, Brotato is one of the finest games to come out in the recent auto-shooter games trend. Despite being in Early Access, it feels more feature complete than many final released games, with many characters to unlock, dozens of different items to choose between waves, accessibility options, a mode to play it like a twin stick shooter, and much more, it’s an excellent value for the money.

Survive waves lasting 20 to 90 seconds each and kill off as many aliens as you can during that time

The greatest achievement of this game, to me, it’s that it strikes a very good balance between the dopamine rush feel and a highly challenging game (with several extra difficulty options to unlock). Brotato is certainly one of the hardest games in this new wave of auto-shooters, and I love that. There’s also a nice dose of risk versus reward that adds a lot of strategy and theorycrafting to the mix, constantly demanding from the player to choose what’s the best to do with the available level up perks and items that offer a good bonus alongside some handicaps, so this is a system that allows a lot of creativity. This also reflects on the visual of the character, that morphs into some creepily awesome creature with the combination of several items and perks (think Binding of Isaac). If you like highly replayable games, you can’t go wrong with Brotato. It already feels great, very feature complete, super customizable to your liking and needs, it has a potato protagonist and it runs on a potato. What more could you ask for? Steam Deck support, of course! This game doesn’t have a native Linux version (yet, despite being made on the Godot engine which is very penguin-friendly), but it runs without any issue on the latest Proton, so you can enjoy being the bullet hell, while avoid a hell of bullets on the later waves, on Windows and Linux systems.

Now, if you excuse-me, I’ll get back to slaying some cute-looking monsters with a great synthwave soundtrack.The best way to describe Brotato would probably to call it an “Auto-Fire-Top-Down-Roguelike-Arena shooter” On the surface the gameplay is quite similar each game. You look down on your char, try to survive 20 rounds and hope for the rng to be on your site. Unlike other games of the Genre that I have played, Brotato requires a lot of intuition on what items to choose, there are some general Ideas for builds, but nothing more. If you do not have any intuition about item choices (like I had) Brotato will teach you.The small downside of this is, that the game has a steeper learning curve because of this, but it feels so good once you finish a run after figuring a character out.Brotato is still in Early Access, but it’s already filled with tons of content/hours of playtime, and definitely worth its current price. If you enjoy this type of games even a bit, you should give Brotato a try, I’m very sure you won’t regret it.”I have potato blood in my veins. As part of the SteamFest the demo got a free update that adds a new combination system, 36 new weapons/items, and rebalances things to make the experience even better.

I’m not a dev on this project or anything, but this has been one of my favorite rougelites in a long time despite its simplicity. It’s easy to learn and rewards creativity, which is what I love most in my games. Give it a shot!It’s a super fun game. In my opinion, it improves on the Vampire Survivor formula by giving you way more control over your weapons when attacking. I’ve always been a fan of chip damage with different types of elemental attacks and this game delivers in a big way there.Yeah, it moves smoothly. And the proximity-based triggers (instead of constantly attacking) lets you trust your weapons will connect more, so it’s less wasted shots.team is known to have a huge selection of games, and some of them seem pretty crazy. So does Brotato, a €5 roguelite that lets you fight aliens in the form of a heavily armed potato.What game is it?
