Asdivine Cross Switch NSP Free Download Unfitgirl Asdivine Cross has, at its core, a compelling story. The concept of the world being reliant on the two deities having balanced power is what drives Harvey, Princess Amelia, and their two other companions whose identities would be a spoiler. From the start, the initial antagonists are not the biggest threat the party will face; only later in the story does the group realise what is the true danger to the world, putting the usual and welcome KEMCO high stakes elements firmly in the game. Harvey’s sense of duty to the Watchers expands to keeping his companions safe, although they are all capable of taking care of themselves to varying degrees. Princess Amelia has a tendency to be too truthful, leading to occasions where someone will make her be quiet so secrets are not revealed to enemies. The compassion in her heart lights her soul and is freely given to her friends. The third party member, Lucile, is certainly one of a kind. She has a weird obsession with getting injured, a personality trait that on occasion felt a bit too adult themed for her age of fifteen. The friendly dynamic between Lucile and Amelia helped ease the serious moments in the game, as did the final party member Olivia, whose cool demeanour both exasperated and delighted Lucile. It may take a while for the party to form within the story, and they are not always together, but the bonds forged cannot be broken and one sees them through their tough journey. Returning players from other Asdivines or KEMCO RPGs will feel at home in this installment of Asdivine universe, with familiar game mechanics that even newcomers can grasp quickly with the thorough explanations easily accessible from the menu. There is the user-friendly weapon upgrade system where weapons (sadly not armour) can be merged together resulting in powerful creations. When the upgrade system is first used, it is best to continually use it for the rest of the game in preference to equipping weapons acquired on the field or at a shop because the benefit of the increased stats outweighs the stats that are subsequently decreased. It is possible to transfer weapon abilities too. Almost every new town heralds new equipment that should be a priority purchase, with money easily acquired from both battles and selling unwanted items. Fulfilling side quests as usual also gives monetary and item rewards, although there didn’t seem to be as many side quests as there usually are in an KEMCO game. Post-game content includes more areas to explore and tougher monsters to defeat for those that can’t get enough of Asdivine Cross .Roaming around the map was best on foot and by sea, for monster encounters never happened in the airship. Frequent saving is recommended because it is possible to wander into a territory with enemies at a significantly higher level than the party’s.

Deforestation at its worse

There are the standard different regions of the world including forest and desert, the former being the most dominant type of land. More snowy regions would be welcome to balance out the environments, although perhaps this Asdivine world simply does not have arctic areas. There is some non-essential paid downloadable content including a full heal after every battle, but so long as lots of battles are fought, there is plenty of money to buy single healing items from the shop. Oddly, party restoration items were limited to the in-game shop that requires ACP points, which are gained through battle instead of gold, and used to buy stat upgrades and other useful rare items. Compared to gold, ACP is harder to obtain, in turn making procurement of party focused items harder. This is at odds with many previous KEMCO RPGs, including other Asdivine games, that had such items in the regular shop, albeit expensive compared to single ally oriented healing medicine. Changing the party leader is a common occurrence in an Asdivine game, and Asdivine Cross allows this, so favourite characters can be the character travelling on the world map. However, the other party members do not follow the team leader either in dungeons or on the world map, as they do in other Asdivine games, which is a shame as seeing all members traverse the screen provides a more immersive experience. Additionally, in this title, whoever is the leader gives the party specific stat boost. For example, if Amelia is leader, there is a ten per cent decrease in magic damage received, while putting Lucile in charge directs more attacks to her. This suits her unique ability to learn absolutely any and every skill that monsters use on her, which she can unleash as an attack in battle, but this may not suit everyone’s play style. Battle tactics for both the party and individual allies can be set, and is only required if auto-battle is switched on. Special attacks can have their moves programmed, subject to having enough combo points called BG (the term Beat Combo does not explain where the G comes from). Combos must have at least two moves and a maximum of five is allowed, dependent on not exceeding the BG of each character. This number increases at a slow rate throughout the game. In the thirty hours of playing the game on the lowest level of difficulty, no character reached double digits for BG. It is not really needed for the easy rating, but will become an essential feature for normal, hard, and expert settings. Playing on easy does not mean every monster is simple to defeat; there are still special colour variations for enemies which dictates their strength, and some are allocated higher stats in certain areas. For those who love a challenge, there is the infamous guild arena with great rewards for winning each fight in a course and being the overall winner, plus a battle tower.

Penguin, Shrimp, and a Piranha…

Another aspect that Asdivine Cross does well is its sprite and character artwork. Everything from the monster to human sprites look great with a solid amount of detail and I was impressed with the wide variety of monster types, too. The fact that everyone has smooth animation is a nice bonus, too, especially with the flashy hit effects in battle. There are even small details that are easy to miss such as one battlefield with cute kitty heads that bounce around in the background. Meanwhile, the character art is not only lovely on its own but it also shows each character’s mood perfectly with expressive facial features. It makes me want to play more Asdivine games. Even though Asdivine Cross is a fun retro RPG experience, it does have its downsides so let’s discuss those. First of all, the combat is fine in its simplicity but it does feel like it’s missing some elements that could have made for a more strategic and rewarding battle system. The Beat Combo mechanic helps with this a bit but it doesn’t quite feel like enough. Similarly, it takes a very long time for battles to pose a challenge. In fact, I was actually happy to finally perish during one boss fight but soon found out that I was supposed to. Thankfully, not much grinding is ever needed and it is rather easy to do if you ever need a little boost. My main complaint in these regards is that I want combat to at least sometimes feel as if my strategies are resulting in my success; not merely my current level and equipment. I like to put a little more effort into my reviews than that! There are quite a few Asdivine games out already but the good news is that you don’t really have to play any of them to fully enjoy Cross. Its story tells the tale of Harvey who’s an outlaw and his shenanigans get him imprisoned early in the game. There, he befriends a princess named Amelia who’s accused of being an imposter. After escaping, they go on an adventure that ends up being much grander than they would ever expect with a few welcome twists and revelations along the way. They’ll also join forces with the powerful yet odd Lucile and serious and focused Olivia. The wide range of personality types makes for some entertaining dialogue and the story is well-paced as to never become boring nor will it leave you in the dust like some RPGs tend to do. Overall, it’s one memorable journey. The gameplay within Asdivine Cross is intuitive and simple complete with command-based battles and easy party setup. With that being said, you’ll gradually unlock some aspects that allow for a great deal of customization which adds a sense of satisfaction to tweaking your party members. For example, combining unneeded weapons with your favourite ones can level them up and you may even end up sticking with the same weapons for a large part of the game which is quite interesting.

Well excuse me…Princess!

You can also transfer weapon effects, learn enemy skills, purchase items with special currency, and earn swanky gear with a couple of random draws. However, the coolest option is Beat Combo where you can assign groups of skills for each character that you can unleash simultaneously in battle which costs a lot of points but it’s a great way to gain a strategic advantage, especially if you manage to assemble a clever combo of abilities. The Asdivine series first began with Asdivine Hearts for mobile platforms in 2014. The series, across its now seven separate titles, largely centers around the same general story. In the land of Asdivine, two kingdoms provide the balance between Light and Shadow, and there is sudden unrest. It’s up to the protagonist to travel the land and restore the balance that is so important. In much the way that games such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Fire Emblem will frequently have repeating themes and locations, that’s the case here. Asdivine always picks up a plot set in the same kingdoms, centered on a conflict between the Light Deity and the Shadow Deity, two spirits that gain power from the belief of citizens. In Cross, if belief in a deity drops, then the balance is destroyed. Here, we follow the story of Harvey, a thief whose band of brigands steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Dead or Alive 6

During a job, Harvey is kidnapped and dropped into the middle of a plot against the king and queen. Along the way, he joins forces with the sheltered Princess Amelia (and a few others), to save the kingdom and prevent a continental war between nations. The story seems almost generic, which means that there is an added focus on the characterization of your party members. If there isn’t much there in terms of the overall plot, then surely a fleshed-out narrative can be found in conversations, right? Well, not exactly. Each character falls back onto a specific stereotype of the genre, with Harvey filling the role of the strong, angry, teen leader, and Amelia as the ditzy and clumsy healer. The remaining party members (there are two, and this review is avoiding spoilers), are portrayed as incredibly hot-headed and mysterious, respectively. Honestly, the women are pretty great. Every female character is depicted as being astonishingly strong and despite Harvey’s numerous attempts to demean and harass, they stand up for themselves every time. Harvey’s written almost like a satire of the cool jock from an ’80s movie: argumentative, bored, etc. At this point in playing these types of games, his personality is just tiring. Give me a silent protagonist any day; at least they won’t tell women they’re dumb all of the time.

The story of Cross does the job it set out to do, but it falls short of what it could have been. Given the setting and the different arcs we see as the game progresses, there are a lot of great chances to do something really impressive, narratively, but the game just never swings for it. With hidden family members, found family tension, betrayed parents, even talking cats, there’s still a lot of space that I would have liked to have seen filled with paralogues and sidequests that engaged the supportive characters in a more meaningful way. I understand that this isn’t meant to be one of those games, and I understand the exact flavor of RPG that KEMCO is delivering with these mobile-to-console titles. But this feels like they’re getting closer and closer to really providing a solid experience that’s not a quick cash grab, so it’s disappointing to see the weak spots. This is all a bit old hat to long-time fans of the genre, and it’s not the least bit complicated to pick up for newcomers. The concern with a title such as this – that is, one that was originally designed for mobile phones – is that the entirety of play will be marred by the looming suggestion of microtransactions. Like the overgrown hedge on your shared property line, or the carton of milk left out on the counter, microtransactions can at times be seen as microaggressions against the player.
