Aokana – EXTRA1 Free Download Unfitgirl Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue is a great visual novel about a bunch of high school students playing a fictional sport called Flying Circus. As fans of sports anime would likely expect, it really explored the characters’ growth through hardships that made it easy to empathize and root for them. Aokana EXTRA 1 is an epilogue to the Mashiro route and focuses on her, as she was ranked second in the game’s popularity poll in Japan. Aokana – EXTRA 1 is primarily a fandisc expansion of the original game’s silly antics, reducing Flying Circus to small mentions. Instead of the adrenaline of airborne matches, this story is all about spending more time with the cute and hard-working Mashiro and reaping the rewards of the relationship built on their previous encounters. After the events of the Fall Tournament, Mashiro and Masaya are an official couple. However, they have been way too focused on their daily activities, like Flying Circus training and working on the udon restaurant. As the midterms approach, the two make a promise to have the best date possible after the exams are over. Though this is only part of the story, the overall themes revolve around how they feel about each other and do their best to bring joy to the relationship. Aokana – EXTRA 1 comes off more straightforward with this new focus and offers some decent moments of comedic timing, making it a fun time for anyone who enjoyed the original game. Besides Mashiro and Masaya, we also get to catch up with the other heroines, Asuka, Misaki, and Rika, and some of the sub-characters like Botan, Madoka, Hosaka, and Arika. Their presence contributes a lot to the scenes, exploring already established character dynamics to really show how Mashiro’s loved by her peers.Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

Another interesting factor is the bittersweet tone of the whole date situation. Neither Mashiro nor Masaya is experienced in the ways of romance, making for some very awkward dialogue. It’s fitting and drives home how they’re both desperately in love with each other, fumbling their way through this new reality. Considering the more comedy-focused tone of Aokana – EXTRA 1, it features a large batch of Super Deformed CGs. Those chibi characters were already part of the original, but here they’re the main attraction with some great animated segments that really help make it hard not to laugh at the scenes. Not all of the CGs take on this visual style, with some looking exceptionally detailed and making up some of the more memorable moments. The date, for instance, features several of them that really emphasize Mashiro’s cuteness. Those scenes can also be seen in the opening movie, but reaching them makes all the difference. Like the original, the music used in EXTRA 1 is honestly fantastic. It features several compositions, some of which weren’t in the original. The tracks are consistently noteworthy, fitting the mood perfectly, be it for zany comedy, slice-of-life, light-hearted romance, or the occasional drama. The voice acting, which is only available in Japanese, is also great to convey the characters’ feelings and give an extra punch to the humorous events. To preface this review of Aokana – Extra1, I will ask a question. Have you played Aokana – Four Rhythms Across the Blue yet? If not, we have not one, but two reviews for you to check out, with both writers rating it highly. The reason why I ask this is that Aokana – Extra1 is a fandisc. It’s an after story for the Mashiro route of the original game and is aimed directly at fans of the character.

A Mashiro Afterstory.

Loved Aokana and want to see more of Mashiro? This is aimed at you. Never played Aokana? This isn’t where you should start. Once again we find ourselves in Shitou City. The place where using anti-graviton shoes to fly is as common as riding a bicycle and the most popular sport involves racing and dogfights in the sky. This sport is known as flying circus. Aokana – Extra1 starts after Mashiro has had some success in flying circus and started dating Masaya, the main character of the original game. The tournament is over and flying circus is now in more of a background role. It was certainly still mentioned and had brief appearances, but the excitement of the sport and competition has been dropped in favor of a slice of life approach and comedic events taking the forefront. This shift in tone was expected as it is a fandisc, but may come as a surprise to some. As the story starts we see that despite her successes, Mashiro is still anxious and not particularly confident. She’s well aware that she’s socially awkward and that a lot of the girls around are more stereotypically feminine or attractive. Most of what she cooks could be classed as poison, she doesn’t know how to dress up nicely and she’s the least physically developed of any of her friends. The end goal is set early on in Aokana – Extra1. There will be a date between Masaya and Mashiro. The story is the path there. Switching perspectives between the two, we see Mashiro trying to improve what she feels are her weak points as they both prepare for the event. This can be touching at points, but mostly it’s comedic with some romantic scenes. One nice part of it being a fandisc focusing on Mashiro is the chance to see her having some one-on-one time with the other heroines.Long Live The Queen Switch NSP

There are scenes of her friends supporting the relationship and doing their best to help, despite this not always being effective or the best thing to do. Many of the secondary characters connected to Mashiro appear too and we get to learn a little more about them. This visual novel is filled with events like spontaneous cooking contests and less than subtle attempts to find out what Masaya likes in a woman. I can’t say that it was a very strong story as is often the case with slice of life, but I certainly laughed at quite a few parts. It only took me less than four hours to complete, but it was an enjoyable time. Aokana – Extra1 is available uncensored on Denpasoft and several other storefronts. The Steam version is slightly censored and a free patch can be applied to restore missing content. Mosaics remain even in the uncensored version. There are three H-scenes and not much fanservice outside of these. The adult content is fairly standard and only involves Masaya and Mashiro, aside from some nude sprites only seen in an extra function outside of the main game. The artwork is high quality overall and there are a respectable 73 CGs. Some of these were in the super-deformed style, while many others were detailed and incredibly beautiful. Aokana – Extra1 is quite short, so this feels like quite a lot. Many of the backgrounds and sprites will be recognizable from the original game, as will most of the music though it seems some additional pieces have been added. The technique of animating the characters by having sprites and CGs move about was another nice touch to bring things to life more and Aokana – Extra1 does this often. All of the basic visual novel options are included, plus some of the nice extras such as individual volume controls per character.

Asuka kurashina.

The resolution goes up to 2560×1440 and it includes a Borderless mode as well as Windowed and Fullscreen which is a rare and appreciated addition. English, Japanese and Chinese languages are all included. I recall that I was impressed when I played through Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue. Thus, I was excited when Extra 1 got announced so my journey with this game is not over yet. Something that stood out to me in Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue was that this game doesn’t only focus on its romance but also its plot about competitive sports. I am, by no means, a fan of the sports genre, although I do appreciate it when it’s done engagingly, which this visual novel successfully managed to accomplish, making me feeling excited during every important match. Aokana — Extra 1 takes place after the events in Mashiro’s route in Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue. After the happy end of bringing Misaki, Mashiro’s best friend, back to playing FC, Mashiro and Masaya can finally enjoy some time together alone. However, nothing goes as expected and Mashiro still has a lot of worries regarding her school and dating life. You see, she gets worried quite fast and thus, she doesn’t want to lose Masaya. It doesn’t get better when they decide to arrange a date, which means that Mashiro spends her time doing her best to impress Masaya. Technically, it’s possible to start with Aokana — Extra 1 right away as the previous events are getting briefly explained, however, I would strongly recommend playing Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue beforehand. The reason for that is that a lot of references do not make sense when the player didn’t experience Mashiro’s route. In addition to that, there are a lot of events missing and I am positive I would not be able to get attached to Mashiro if I didn’t play its predecessor before.Accident

I can definitely say that this game managed to do a much better job of displaying Mashiro’s feelings for the hero. I found that she was so adorable when she was worried about every little detail during their relationship and it’s noticeable that she grew during the story. Slowly, she notices that not everything goes as planned but the most important thing is that her feelings are sincere. Admittedly, this game greatly focuses on Mashiro so the actual protagonist, her boyfriend, doesn’t get as much screentime as in Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue. Something I still love is that only because it’s Mashiro’s afterstory that doesn’t mean that the rest of the girls are not appearing anymore. In fact, they were all great friends and decided to help Mashiro out with her relationship. This is done in such a heartwarming way that I am impressed by how well they got along. Well, this part is rather lacking in Aokana — Extra 1. Those who played Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue beforehand surely are already aware that the predecessor focuses on the story a lot. However, this sequel turned out to be an afterstory that solely focuses on the development of the relationship between Masaya and Mashiro. This means that the FC aspect is barely present anymore and there is no story progression available. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a negative aspect. I personally found it was a shame because the FC and its story made Aokana special for me. Nonetheless, it’s understandable that Aokana — Extra 1 only focuses on the romance as that part fell rather short during the base game and feels like an optional extension to the main game for those who couldn’t get enough of the adorable Mashiro.

Gameplay.

Whilst Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue implements multiple branches and endings, the story in Aokana — Extra 1 is linear and there is only one ending the player can obtain. In fact, there is a single choice available, however, the decision itself doesn’t matter at all. Anyway, despite not having any impact on the storyline, I felt that it was the right approach for Aokana — Extra 1 as she deserves her happily ever after. During playing, it felt like I was in the role of the observer rather than the protagonist’s and was delighted to see Mashiro slowly but surely growing into a fine girlfriend. After all, a lot is happening behind Masaya’s back and I feel like it’s a shame that he never actually experienced Mashiro’s effort.  Luckily, Aokana — Extra 1 didn’t manage to disappoint me when it comes to the presentation either. I loved the animations implemented into the game with characters moving and sliding around, which made them feel lively. In addition to that, there are a lot of new CGs that got added in Extra 1 and I couldn’t help but take multiple screenshots because they’re simply gorgeous. Of course, the chibi styled CGs aren’t missing in this game either during hilarious scenes. The quality of the artwork is splendid in general and the characters’ sprites contain multiple facial expressions, outfits, and poses which greatly enhanced the immersion. Additionally, the Japanese voice-acting is high-quality and made the characters feel even more alive. Despite the lack of story progression, I really enjoyed Aokana — Extra 1. The reason for that is that the story gets fleshed out and I could understand the relationship between Masaya and Mashiro better after playing through this visual novel. There were so many adorable scenes where Mashiro is trying to impress Masaya, as well as friendship scenes when the other girls are encouraging Mashiro.

Anyway, Aokana — Extra 1 keeps up the quality and surely won’t disappoint you, although it’s evident that this afterstory is meant to be played by those who enjoyed Mashiro’s route in Aokana — Four Rhythms Across the Blue. If you are fine with a short but precise summary: This is a bonus sequel to Aokana, featuring Mashiro. The same game but with more/a different story. So yeah, predictably it offers everything Aokana is known and loved for. Just like it’s main game, the Aokana Extra 1 – running on the same engine and being developed by the same studio and all – offers the same high VN standards. This includes lots of high resolution assets supporting not only native 1080p, but up to 1440p. What those sprites are lacking in animation (no mouth movement, blinking, whatsoever) is made up for in details and variety. Even the backgrounds are as lively and detailed as the CGs, befitting the fact that the main game not only is “Anime level” but actually has an Anime adaption. The whole thing is acompanied by on-screen effects and motion highlighting the strong points of the game running on a full fledged 3D game engine (Unity) instead of the usual 2D VN engine – though that also means a notable lack in technical gimmicks, with settings, customizability and features being the bare minimum (and sadly the BGM volume auto adjustment still is broken). The amazing visual performance is further supported by the gorgeous OST, that has quite a few new tracks just for the extra yet on the same level as the main game’s OST.

The translation is solid and fluent, keeping puns and funny word choices as much as possible by translating by meaning/effect rather than strictly word by word, and except for the usual few errors it is very good. Being the standalone “After Story” of the (in my opinion) rather side-heroine Mashiro Arisaka, which already had a lighter story on her route in the base game, the story here is solely Slice of Life, focusing on the romance the main game had rather little of. Though of course that doesn’t mean it looses any of it’s intensity – if any Visual Novel I know is able to tell a captivating, heartfelt love story even throughout occasional silly jokes and over-the-top side characters, it’s Aokana (or more specifically this Extra). Moments full of “feelz” are guaranteed, and just going out dating never feeled that much like an actual story. Even though it is just like an “After Story” know from several other VNs out there, the Aokana Extra is not to be underestimated. It’s a full fledged standalone story featuring around 10h of not rush-skipping content and hence being more comparable to a normal linear Visual Novel sequel. Though even then it still has a rather high price tag. After clearing the game once the gallery is unlocked, where the 50 CGs (including one or another from the main game through flashbacks), 23 SDs and the entire Aokana OST from the main game plus around 12 new tracks – totalling to 61 OSTs – can be enjoyed alongside the opening and ending movie and the scenes once more. Also unlocked (due to there only being one “route”) is the Sprite Viewer, where you can actually enjoy ALL the backgrounds from Aokana (main game and extra 1) and – atleast for all characters present in the extra – ALL the character sprite variations, even if not used in the extra’s story.Dodgeball Academia
