Among Us VR Free Download Unfitgirl Among Us VR understands what made Innersloth’s murder mystery game so special when it came out in 2018 and brought us near-endless shenanigans by placing 10 people inside a spaceship while two Impostors try to murder everyone. This ground-up VR remake is a refreshing take on the premise that recaptures that suspense while introducing exciting new dynamics. Though its missing features may prove disappointing, what’s here is a great time. Right now, it’s one of this year’s best VR games. It’s hard to overstate just how polished Among Us VR feels when playing. Schell Games has adapted it to virtual reality well: the cel-shaded 3D art style works to great effect, and switching to first-person gameplay proves natural. Walking around a recreation of The Skeld spaceship map and using motion controls to carry out tasks feels a lot more immersive, and fuelling engines with a manual pump and priming shields by touching the screen is more intuitive than using a gamepad or mouse and keyboard. You can play comfortably while standing or sitting down, since movement is entirely smooth and controlled by the thumbsticks. There’s no teleporting, but if you’re concerned about motion sickness, optional blinders are available to reduce potential nausea risk, alongside snap turning for the camera. Among Us VR faithfully recreates the original’s template, and once again splits us between Crewmates and Impostors. Within a four to 10-player online match, Crewmates must complete several randomly assigned tasks across The Skeld. Some tasks aren’t particularly exciting, like waiting around for a data transfer, and the real joy comes from the social gameplay surrounding it. Still.Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

There’s several new tasks that make creative use of VR: the Admin room has a new retinal scanner that requires you to stand still for a few moments, which isn’t terribly exciting, though MedBay’s whack-a-mole mini-game is entertaining. As an Impostor, though, your only goal is convincing everyone that you’re just another Crewmate, even as you’re deviously killing other crewmates and trying to get away with it. There are plenty of creative avenues for murder, such as jamming doors or causing a blackout (knowing that Impostors can see in the dark). Or you can go big by sabotaging the ship by depleting the oxygen or causing a reactor meltdown, which are instant wins if Crewmates leave them unfixed for too long. I felt more creeped out during blackouts, and there’s a greater sense of panic when the blaring red lights appear during a sabotage. Once a dead body’s been discovered, an emergency meeting commences and the real game of trickery and detective work begins. If you’re a real Crewmate, you have to figure out who the Imposters are using whatever suspicious activities you might’ve witnessed and decide who can be trusted. If you’re an Imposter, you state your innocence, cast blame on others, and try to get others to vote with you to buy someone else a one-way ticket to space. Even after years of playing, keeping your story straight and successfully pinning the kill on someone else still feels great, and it’s only enhanced by VR. Being falsely ejected through no fault of your own can be frustrating, never mind getting caught out as an Impostor by sheer bad luck, but the fun of this game of cat and mouse is in picking up on subtle clues or tricking everyone with clever hints and insinuations.

There’s a cooldown before you can strike again, which keeps a skilled Imposter from running amok. As always, how well a social game like this works comes down to who you’re playing with, but in VR there’s a greater sense of presence when everyone’s staring at you. That’s all true of the regular version of Among Us, but simply having in-built voice chat in everybody’s headset solves one of that version’s biggest problems: if you’re using an external voice client like Discord dead people can still talk and use that to cheat, but here they become mute ghosts upon death. Plus, having everybody able to speak immediately makes emergency meetings a highlight of Among Us VR. The use of proximity heightens tension: Knowing that someone’s voice gets louder as you get closer is another way to gather evidence, and introduces a fresh dynamic to matches whether you’re hunting or being hunted. Also, you can ask someone to watch you get scanned in MedBay to prove your innocence without necessarily alerting an Impostor to your location. If you’re an Impostor, you can try hiding in vents and eavesdropping on other crewmates’ conversations. Voice chat also makes calling someone out in the middle of a lie and seeing that so-called “Crewmate” crumble under pressure even more thoroughly satisfying. And if voice chat’s not for you for whatever reason, there’s also a text chat system that uses predetermined quick-chat messages. There’s a lot Among Us VR does right, but the biggest knock against this version is that it doesn’t have all of the same content and features as standard Among Us. That’s understandable in places, since changing gameplay settings like giving yourself faster walking speed would be a nauseating disaster for a lot of people. However, it would be nice to be able to adjust the number of tasks, for instance. Virtual Cottage

Cosmetics are also limited at launch, and while the Steve Zissou-esque beanie is nice, it’s no double top hat. Among Us has a solid foundation for tense, dramatic gameplay. It’s a high-stakes social deduction game where hapless Crewmates struggle to repair a ship and survive against alien Imposters. It was an overwhelming success back in 2020, but the original version always felt a bit childish to me. The banter during every emergency meeting is compelling as the accusations fly and people panic, but conducting ship repairs is simple to the point of boring. And you can’t even really interact with other players during the core gameplay segments — except for all the killing. But a recent press preview of Among Us VR totally changed my mind about the viral hit. While it can be a nightmare in many online games, proximity voice chat is the real game-changer that transforms Among Us VR into one of the best VR games I have ever played. Seeing this universe’s charming design in first-person is a delight, despite some minor cosmetic flaws. The slightly clunky controls also take a bit of getting used to, particularly when you need a firm grasp on your depth perception in VR if you’re going to complete your tasks in a timely fashion. Most tasks from the base game carry over, but having to execute them with your oversized Crewmate hands is a chuckle-worthy challenge every time. VR plays its mind tricks on you when the lights flicker before going out altogether, or when doors suddenly lock you into one side of the ship. More than once, a fellow player and I screamed after we rounded a corner and bumped into each other, stammering things like “Get away from me!” or “Please don’t kill me!” The panic is palpable, and that first-person VR perspective makes it impossible to avoid getting physically startled when moments like these happen. The Among Us VR soundscape is spectacular and meticulously crafted to foster dramatic tension and outright fear. You can hear where player footsteps and voices are coming from … and you can even hear when someone gets murdered nearby.

Pick your character’s color and hat.

Several times, I’d be working my way through a task in a small group, but then we’d hear the sickening squelch of murder and panic. We’d scatter to find the body, and in one case, the Imposter got a second kill. By the time somebody called a meeting, nobody had any idea who the killer was and spent most of the meeting screaming, pointing, and laughing. The impeccable audio design continues after death. As a Ghost, you still need to complete your tasks, and while you can communicate with other Ghosts freely, living players can neither hear nor see you. During meetings, the main monitor screen appears broken, and through the veil of death, living voices sound strangely distorted. You can tell a lot of care went into making the whole game as immersive as possible. Despite the inherent silliness of the signature Among Us style, the core game mechanics, lighting, and sound design create a perfect storm of a good time. And cosmetic wearables like hats make for just enough self-expression to make your avatar feel unique — even if people will only refer to you by your color regardless. The few complaints I have about Among Us VR could easily be fixed with subsequent updates, and they feel like nitpicks for the most part. Some of the environments, particularly the cafeteria, feel a bit too sprawling and bland. Adding a little bit of decoration like a spilled coffee cup on one of the vast blue tables could go a long way. There’s a buffet table on the northern end of the room, completely empty, which really should have some food on it. Why not let us pick up some food so we can throw it at each other? Each room is a faithfully recreated version of the original, sometimes to a fault. It’ll probably feel pretty surreal to diehard Among Us fans. But as I was running through, the overall square footage felt a bit too sprawling and lacking in detail in some places.Sphere: Flying Cities

The art style is meant to be cartoonish and pristine, but when you’re inhabiting the body of a Crewmate (or Imposter), you’d expect to see at least some erosion or filth aboard a spaceship. Fun, colorful decorations like posters could be more plentiful. The overall control scheme also takes some getting used to, which is where the mandatory tutorial comes in handy. On Meta Quest 2, the left analog stick controls your field of vision, and the right jolts your perspective something like 45 degrees to the left or right with each twist. It’s jarring at first, especially if you’re not already accustomed to similar VR control schemes, but before long, you’ll be running at a full tilt for the nearest sabotaged device. Despite being an Among Us naysayer who mostly wrote off the original as a bit childish, I’ve been transformed into a diehard Crewmate by Among Us VR, a must-play virtual reality experience that vastly improves upon the original in every way. Since then, developer Innersloth has been pushing the game’s momentum as far as it can go, keeping it in the news cycle with updates, cross-game collaborations, and more. However, it’s about to have its biggest moment thanks to Among Us VR, a brand-new version of the game that’s only playable in — you guessed it — VR. After spending just an hour with it, I can confidently say that Among Us VR is the best version of the game. The physicality it brings is just enough to reinvent the simple game, forcing players to think about their body language as much as their ability to lie. The catch is that you’ll have to find enough friends with VR headsets to enjoy it, which is no easy task. Among Us VR fundamentally works the exact same way as the original game. Players are tossed into a ship and given a list of simple tasks to complete. A few players are secretly imposters, who can climb into vents, sabotage parts of the ship, and kill innocent crewmates.

Choose single or two-handed locomotion options.

Nothing here changes that core loop, which is for the best considering how elegant the original game is. The VR version’s changes are more a matter of perspective, but that makes a big difference. The game ditches its overhead camera for a first-person viewpoint, which makes the entire experience much more paranoia-inducing. Since I’m no longer able to see a bird’s-eye view of the room I’m in, I find myself more surprised when I round a corner and bump into another crewmate. That ratchets up the tension, as there’s a lot more cautious hovering around another player in fear that you’re about to be murdered. Hallway chases with an overeager killer become significantly scarier, as it really feels like you’re sprinting away from a movie monster shouting for help. Among Us VR is a party game of teamwork and betrayal. Grab your crew and headset and launch into the VR version of this hit multiplayer game for 4 – 10 players. Work together in this virtual spaceship to complete tasks before one or more Impostors kill everyone aboard. Built exclusively for VR, you will enjoy all the same gameplay as the original game, but now in an extremely immersive environment where everything (yup, everything!) is close up and personal. The added physicality creates much more of the nuance that I always felt was missing from the comparatively stiff standard edition. When I’m focused on a task, my back is usually to the door of any given room. With the perspective shift, that means I can physically turn my head to peek over my shoulder and make sure no one is creeping up behind me while I’m stuck waiting for my task to complete. It’s far more nerve-racking than just watching my little bean stand in-place from above.

My favorite change, though, comes during emergency meetings. When someone calls together a meeting in the regular game, players are dropped into a voting menu that they can talk over. Here, they’re actually assembled into the ship’s cafeteria where they can walk around and chat, voting by clicking a screen in the center of the room. That led to some uproariously funny results in my game. When I made a credible accusation against an alleged imposter, everyone crowded around them in a circle as they struggled to talk their way out of it. Body language plays a surprisingly fun role in the proceedings, too, as VR controls (I was on a Meta Quest 2) allow you to see players nervously fiddling with their hands during a meeting. Tasks have naturally changed, too, giving players more tactile chores. During my playthrough, I’d need to play whack-a-mole in the Medbay, complete a game of Simon Says in the Reactor, and run from room to room pulling levers. Each task is pretty simple (only one I played required any sort of challenge), but that works in the context of VR. The focus is more on straightforward tasks that’ll keep your back vulnerable for just enough time. During the Simon Says minigame, for instance, I need to keep my eyes focused on the pattern I need to replicate. If I turn to look at the door, it might set me back. While I love just about everything about Among Us VR more than the regular version, there’s a massive caveat: You’ll need enough friends with VR headsets to enjoy it. That tech restriction is only notable because the game was largely able to rise in popularity because of how easily accessible it was to any player. Anyone could grab it on their phone for just a few dollars and that made it the right game for the social isolation moment.

Among Us VR finds itself in a polar opposite situation. I’m not sure if I have seven friends who own VR headsets, let alone three. I imagine that many players are in a similar situation, which puts the social game in a tough position. One could always jump into random matches with strangers, but Among Us is undoubtedly at its best with close pals (granted, I still had an absolute blast playing with other press members). It’s an awkward situation for such an excellently designed multiplayer game to find itself in, as it’s a far more situational experience. I want to recommend it as strongly as possible, but Among Us’ success has always been more about who is playing than the game itself. Among Us VR offers the ideal version of the deduction title, but it’s going to be a much lonelier one, too. I can only hope more consumer-friendly devices like the PlayStation VR2 can help turn the tech into a household staple so I can force my friends to play with me. A couple of years ago, “Among Us” seemed to be all anyone was talking about. The mobile app made gameplay accessible, other popular games were ripping it off, and the term “sus” entered the world’s collective lexicon. Then, like all fads, it seemed to drift away. The game is still somewhat popular, and you won’t find it difficult to find a game — but “Among Us” isn’t the hype monster it was at launch. That could soon change as a VR version of the impostor spotting phenomenon has just launched as “Among Us VR.” It’s available on PCVR, Meta Quest 2, and Meta Quest Pro headsets. Although “Among Us” is far from the most demanding VR game on the market, it isn’t available for the original Quest headset — which may be further evidence of Meta’s plans to phase it out completely. For those unfamiliar with the game, up to ten players are in a spaceship and each player has a different colored avatar which makes them easy to identify. A Little Golf Journey
