This game has actually been available since September 2017, which blew my mind but looking at gameplay back then it was a completely different game compared to today. The game has been in Early Access since then but this month the game will be officially leaving Early Access and will be launched as a full and complete game and I bet that feels amazing, to know your game after so long is considered ready for retail launch. Airport CEO is exactly as it sounds, you are in charge of an airport that you construct, choose contracts, arrange flights and so much more. Normally games with these kinds of graphics do tend to put people off but I grew up with Tom Sawyers Roller Coaster Tycoon and Locomotion so if you try to tell me games can’t succeed with these graphic styles, I’m going to call you crazy, they can work if it is pulled off correctly and if you love management games, this is definitely something for yourself. Now let’s be honest, the major trend these days are beautiful construction games like Cities Skylines, Surviving on Mars, the Anno series, Planet Coaster/Zoo, you know that kind but its really nice to see games like this take a different direction because it works! I’ve always had a soft spot for construction games  Unfitgirl.COM SEXY GAMES

especially by Paradox who brought us games like Cities Skylines and Surviving on Mars and Frontier Games who made their popular debut with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and now advanced to Planet Coaster, however their title Jurassic World Evolution is definitely a massive must play for me! Especially if you played Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, if you did then you are on the right path for glory. You begin your journey with a blank field and a road into your world where everyone will be coming from. So, my way of approaching this is to start off making the terminal first so you have a rough idea on what kind of style of airport you are going to construct. I like to have my terminal roughly at the bottom next to the road coming into your airport and have the runway/parking bays for the planes towards the top so you have plenty of breathing room for the terminal itself and when it comes to making the terminal and adding the facilities you really can go all out with the needs and also whatever layout you’d like so you can either make it a really easy process for passengers to check in and get their flight, or follow the traditional airport process and put about 1000 checks and luggage points before boarding your flight.

Why Airport CEO Works

In order to make a successful airport you can’t skip anything. First you make the outer line of the main terminal, then you need a staff room for your staff to chill and for the admins to do their job, you need check in desks, security checkpoints, luggage drop off points, departure screens, the options are actually endless and it appeals to all kinds of people. You also need to take care of utility services around the airport to keep everything running smoothly. What do I mean by this? Well for example when you make the runway you can honestly have service disruptions because of cows roaming the runway, which is the last thing you need so you need to build a fence all the way around the runway to ensure everything runs normally. At each of the stands for the planes you need stand agents to refuel the planes so they can come and go, you can assign flights to be cargo or passenger but I mainly focus on passenger flights.  Shadow Warrior 3

When I say you are in control of everything, I mean everything such as hiring, the better the skilled the higher their wage, the contracts for the construction workers, the administrators to work on upgrades to provide your airport with better and more profitable services like larger runways to support larger aircraft, buying airport vehicles like fuel trucks, fire engines, police cars, buses to take from the terminal to the correct aircraft stand and so much more the possibilities are truly endless here. As you improve your airport, facilities and contracts you will also have the capability to buy more land on your map to increase the size of your airport and that is a great thing, especially as you get more facilities that take up quite a bit of space. It is practically impossible to cover everything available on a review because you have so many possibilities in your approach. The tutorial is also really helpful, took me a while to link up the taxiway to the terminal and runway but when I did it just became a force of habit in the end.

But It’s Not For Everyone

When it comes to simulation games, there is little argument that Roller Coaster Tycoon is the holy grail. God knows how much time I sunk into meticulously managing the finances of criminally overpriced theme parks as a kid. I also spent a good portion of my life in or around airports. So when I heard there was a game that let me do with travelers what I did with theme park visitors I was immediately excited. This is exactly what Airport CEO is and this is my Airport CEO review. Airport CEO: What Is It? Airport CEO is a “tycoon” style simulation game available on steam, it lets you be the CEO of an airport. In this title vaguely inspired by a prison architect, you design, build, and manage an airport. It is not completely formulaic, however. The reason this game is called Airport CEO and not tycoon or simulator is that it makes you the CEO. You are no longer the omnipotent creating and destroying everything with a click. Rules apply to you too. You spend most of your time looking at little business dashboards and signing contractors to do your work for you. Singularity

Gameplay: How Do You Even Manage An Airport? As soon as you start the game you are greeted with a simple-looking menu. Upon choosing to start your airport, you are asked to enter your name and select any version of a dollar store Heath Ledger’s Joker as your avatar. The graphics inside the game are no more impressive either. But don’t let any of that fool you. Soon, you learn how terribly deep and complex this innocent-looking game actually is. There is a tutorial, of course, but 90% of the exploration is left entirely to you. Even before you can accept your first plane, you have to go through a million other things. From signing contractors to do your construction for you to building runways, taxiways, and towers, hiring staff, establishing the infrastructure – long story short, it’s complicated. You manage everything! And you do that through a little computer window – it’s like your own CEO dashboard and terminal.

But It Might Not Be For You

Quickly enough you’ll learn how to navigate through the dialogues and tabs to get where you want. By then you’ll be totally blind to the simple introduction you got to the game and realize that every pixel counts. I realize when I was not worried about my resources or about mismanaging flight schedules, I was having a lot of fun. The complexity of the game is not just for show. It is the backbone of this simulation gem. Even after you learn the ropes – after some good hours – the game does not get boring. Even if you know everything you need to know and how to do it, there is constant pressure for you to keep things rolling. Like a real CEO, if you neglect your duties everything can and will come crashing down. There is no point in the game where you feel like “now what?”. This is partly due to the sheer depth the game has to offer, but it is also a very clear design decision made by the game’s creator. Learning all the ins and outs (which I’ll admit I have not done a good job at) is not all there is to the game. Slay the Spire

As your airport grows, you create more overhead for yourself. There is always this challenge of not making yourself the limiting factor for your airport. Like real management, the challenge and fun of the game come from developing an efficient workflow that allows you to do more while maintaining all other tasks nicely. With all that said, this game is clearly not for everyone. More often than not you may be put off by the sheer depth of the game – even if you are a simulation fan. Getting to a point where you can thoroughly enjoy the game can be a bit of a grind. Airport CEO can be very serious and straight-faced, to a fault. There are way too many (realistic) details to learn that it can be dry at times. It’s so authentic that I’ve learned a thing or two about airports myself. And if my formative years have taught me anything, it’s that teachers forcing a moral in entertainment usually ruins both.

Although I am not a big fan of long tutorials, I felt this game could have used one. Maybe even make it a separate map. But the 10 minutes of hands-off guiding provided with your first airport are not that helpful. And while I did enjoy the menus being styled as computer windows, navigation ultimately wasn’t as streamlined as it could be. But maybe that’s just a byproduct of the game’s depth. Firstly, the “CEO” in the title of this game is no understatement. When you start a game, you control everything from infrastructure, to staff salaries, airline contracts and more. Following the tutorial is highly recommended, however it might keep you from expanding the way you want. Secondly, although this game officially released earlier this year, it’s been available through “early access” since 2017 This is generally a good release structure for indie games because it means the players have made recommendations, while the developers have been steadily tinkering in the background. Lastly is the upbeat yet unintrusive soundtrack that perfectly matches the tone of this game!
